I have travelled 100 or more days per year over the years. I spent a month in Greece, staying in 12 hotels and on an overnight ferry as described in the report 2022. The Chandra hotel was roughly average in this scenario. Pros A great place to stay if you want to get to the Acropolis and other sights within walking distance. The hotel was neat and had an elevator. Traveling in Greece is light, however the service here is not very kind. Small double room. The bathroom was private, but across the corridor. The balcony does not inspire. Observing these remarks, Greece is great except for the tourist islands that were very busy in October, and perhaps I will skip them all the next time I go. The peloponesse had a better outcome than I had anticipated. Athens was safe anytime I moved, even after midnight. Purchase a metro card. Because not all hotels have elevators, and in ancient cities, you will climb many stairs and walk over cobblestones. Even for me who was a hyperidah, sitting in a cafe while seeing people go by and doing nothing was acceptable. This tour was incredible.

On my first day in Greece, I checked into the hotel chandra and enjoyed my stay. The rooms were small but very clean, with double beds and private baths and small balcony overlooking the plaza, making it interesting to people watch. Everything is right outside the door, including the necropolis or a charming tavern, neighboring the souvenir shops, and taking a cab. That being said, athenians and all your fellow travelers might enjoy themselves under your window until wee hours. It didn't bother me, but light sleepers may be aware. I decided to include breakfast for a small extra fee and to start my day with a simple tray of good coffee, fruit juice, yogurt with honey, and bread with greek preserves. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and I would love to come back one day soon.

The hotel has a good value for money and located on the Plaza with necropolis views and balconies. Small but comfortable rooms, enough breakfast. This place is very recommended as a base for exploring Athens. There are many restaurants near the hotel, but the hotel is quiet at night.

This hotel is located in a very strategic location, also there is a roof with views and the view from the room is very nice and the staff is very helpful, especially with the tips, the noise is a bit annoying.

The hotel Chandra is situated in the heart of the plaza. Both Sygmanta and Monastiraki square are only ten minutes by foot from the hotel. Most ancient sites are just a few steps away. The rooms are cozy and have a private bathroom, a lovely balcony in our case, overlooking the opposite saint Catherine church, air conditioning, a small fridge, and wifi. The personnel is very pleasant and helpful. They also have a rooftop where you may see the Necropolis Hill and the surrounding area. Although Chandra is not a four-star hotel, their rooms are decent, tidy, reasonably priced, and excellent value for money. A great choice in the middle segment.
