Environnement un peu désertique, mais ça fait franchement du bien . Hôtel sympa, on a mangé au restaurant de l hôtel et on c'est vraiment régaler. Le patron super sympa , billard a disposition avec musique d ambiance ...on a vraiment adoré... On reviendra c'est sûr 😍

This place exceeded my expectations for the price we paid. The room and bathroom were clean, and we had a very nice view of the mountains. The walls are thin, so you hear the coffee machine running in the morning. (There is a coffee machine and kettle in the common area.) This is a great location to stop overnight before you go into the West Fjords. The drive here and back into Budardalur was also very scenic.

This place was fabulous. The employees were so helpful and the food in their restaurant was absolutely delicious. The scenery was beautiful as well (but that's to be expected anywhere in Iceland). Definitely a great place to stop for the night.

Verdensklasse service af manden i receptionen, der lavede aftensmad til os da vi ankom kl. 22.30. Han viste os mange flotte steder, han synes vi skulle opleve på vores rejse i Island. Han tilbød at ringe til os om natten, når der igen var nordlys på himlen. Værelserne var store og super flotte. Sengene var dejlige at sove i. Rigtig fin morgenmad for alle. Hotellet havde en perfekt beliggenhed den aften/nat, fordi vi havde den smukkeste udsigt til nordlyset! Vi vil KUN anbefale dette sted til alle. Tak for en virkelig god oplevelse!

Da fuori sembrava una locanda in stile americano, quasi poco curata, mentre dentro tutto è curato ed elegante. Le camere sono ampie, spaziose e pulite, con servizi in camera, raro in Islanda. Consigliato assolutamente!

this place was very cool. the couple who runs it go out of their way to make you feel at home. I left something very important to me in the room and they took the time to mail it to a location that ill be later on in the week. the view is beautiful (like the rest of iceland) and be sure not to miss the hot pot a little down the road.

Great spot to stay in a rather rural part of Iceland. The staff there were very friendly and helpful. We saw the northern lights there! I like that the rooms have a common area too with couches and a table to hang out at. There’s a pool table and the bar is open till 11.

Het hotel ligt in een gebied waar nog weinig toeristen komen (de westelijke fjorden). De natuur is ongerept en prachtig om te wandelen. Het was een aparte ervaring om naar de warme bron te gaan in de buurt van het hotel (ca 5 km daar vandaan). De eigenaar van het hotel is heel gastvrij en vertelt graag over de vele mogelijkheden om tochten te maken. Het ontbijtbuffet is ruim gesorteerd en smakelijk. Het vergt enige zelfwerkzaamheid, maar dat sprak ons wel aan.

At this cozy country hotel the hospitality was friendly and generous! They run a nice restaurant where we played pool and drank beer, and the owner even let us close up the place. Rooms were spacious with a large common room and self service breakfast. Excellent coffee too! The host suggested many local attractions for our journey. Make this a stop on your way north!

From the outside, Hotel Ljosaland may look like an average place. Once inside though, one look out your windows will show you that it's way more than average. We had views across wide open hayfields to the ocean beyond, and out our back windows, a mountain with grazing sheep. Our room was spotlessly clean and comfy. The host was very friendly, and offered a number of suggestions of interesting places we might like to visit. The on-site restaurant has exceptional views, prompt friendly service, and excellent food, (one of the best meals we had in all of Iceland!).

Located in a very rural, beautiful, quiet area by the main road, the hotel served the purpose, namely: of getting a good night´s sleep. Room and breakfast simple. Did not use the facilities in the main building due to late arrival. The man in the reception showed the room and the self service breakfast upon arrival. Check-out by leaving key in the door. Fine for 1 night to or from the Westfjords.

Simpel, prima overnachting gehad. Ontbijt had wat verzorgder mogen zijn. Boter was op veel lege potje zoetwaar.
