What's not to like about staying in a medieval Italian Castle? Great views of Florence from the two rooms we stayed in. There is plenty of parking for your car and its a five minute drive to Florence. The complimentary breakfast is delicious and filling for a day out on the town. The best part about the Castle is the awesome staff. These are the nicest and friendliest people! They do speak English making communication easy. They are very accommodating making a stay at the Castle feel more intimate and friendly!

El trato y la atención del personal fue excelente. El hotel es de sueño. No se salten la experiencia de cenar y desayunar aquí. El hotel está ubicado en las afueras de Florencia y el transporte público no es buena opción. Taxis o plataformas como Uber. Muy caras. Las vistas desde el hotel son espectaculares y en general el hotel es muy agradable y cómodo para disfrutar en pareja. Un plus es que también son Pet friendly.

The property was pretty, the views were great, our room was huge, and, the bed was comfortable with a jetted tub. For those who travel here, it is great if you have a car or taxi as it is a 1/2 mile up a steep long driveway. I also suggest that guests bring snacks and beverages as there are none on the property and it is hard to find staff if you have questions.

This family run manor is a charming small hotel. There is a lovely view of Florence from the roof top patio and the breakfast room. The service and welcome was warm. The rooms are set up for romantic stays. Our story though, after we had checked out we discovered our rental car key fob was dead. Enie, the owner of Montalbano spent hours helping us by calling the car rental company, being on hold, waiting for a callback, waiting finally for the tow truck. He brought us to the dining room to wait and served us cappucinos and biscuits, while he waited outside for the call from the tow truck. We were no longer guests of the hotel, yet Enie was so kind to us. This hospitality is the sign of true service.

Very Fun experience to have while visiting Florence! room was small, but view was great of Florence lit up at night! Easy to get to if you have a car, I suppose a bit of a pain if you are relying on Public transportation. I would recommend this place to anyone headed to Florence!

Amazingly beautiful castle lovingly converted into a small number of hotel rooms. Quiet & hidden away in the hills over looking Florence, we had a car which made the trip into the city easy. We travelled with our dog who was made very welcome too! Stay here if you can, I will dream of returning one day!!

Simply beautiful the only thing is make sure you have a car. Taxi are expensive and they didn’t want to drive there they would literally refuse because it’s secluded. Everything was beautiful the breakfast could have been much better but the view it’s amazing lovely lady at the office just make sure you have a car otherwise gorgeous

Tivemos um problema no nosso quarto, pedimos para trocar e a equipe nós deu um upgride para um quarto melhor e mais limpo. A internet é muito instável e a tv não é smart. O ponto de maior atenção é a localização, só recomendo se estiver de carro, o ônibus para a uma certa distância, 500m do trecho é uma subida íngreme, que feita à pé é bem sofrida! Se voltar a noite, um trecho é feito totalmente às escuras! Bem complicado! Não voltaria!
