One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in in my life is this one. I had to visit the US consulate while I was in New Orleans on business. I made wise decisions because I was a woman traveling alone in a city that gets bad reviews. The receptionist gentleman recommended a location where I could eat near the hotel, and the cuisine was excellent. The customer care was outstanding, I was quickly greeted and given the key to my room. The proprietor showed up, assisted me with my luggage, and showed me the room. The hotel's interior is beautiful and original, reminiscent of a boat interior. The accommodation was spotless! Due to its location in mergellina, it is close to all the tourist attractions and easy access to the boats heading to the islands. The hotel is in a very safe area, which was my top priority.

I stayed at this hotel in a great location. This hotel is near the beach, there are many restaurants nearby, and I got a nice room. The staff is also friendly. The room was clean, and the atmosphere was great. One disadvantage, the room doesn't have a fridge. That's a big problem in the summer when you want to keep the water cold.

The staff at Ammonia Hotel were very kind, which was also the reason I booked here for a night as it was close to a place where I wanted to stay the next day. The room condition was very clean and the environment was reasonably calm given the hotel's location which is situated between two very busy street.

All have been said before but there is a different method to look at the nautical theme which starts out unusual, becomes comical, and ends up irritating. Its supposed to be a hotel, not a ship cabin, and a bed with sharp brass bound corners is just plain stupid. These are clean bedrooms with simple breakfast served in the room. It is not a hotel, as I would define it. No additional amenities, no wifi. The two staff are really nice and saved the place from a poor rating simply on the basis of the ridiculous furnishing. Cost reasonable, location with easy access to the metro and ferries. Taxis outside.

Although it's a bed and breakfast and not a 2 star hotel, it has a great location and offers good price for the time and location. We arrived around 11:30 in the night to request a room. The person who let us inside the hotel was completely ignored. He gave us a room on two levels, and unfortunately the room is near the entrance door and breakfast area.
