This stunning place with amazing service really helped us when application website gave us incorrect information. First of all, let me say that the place, the spa, the ambiance are beautiful, and the associated town is historic with huge temples surrounded by perfectly manicured parks We were there for the fall leaf season and it was spectacular. The kiseki dinners were fantastic now for the problems like many hot spring places, the hotel is a bit isolated so you have to eat in the hotel or else do not. We booked two identical nights on bookings.com but when we arrived, reservations had only passed to the hotel one night dinner payment. This is important because these many course dinners cost $100 per person when purchased separately from the room. After spending hours on the phone trying to fix it, we finally had a bowl of ramen and called it a night. International web sites must be very specific about meals and inclusive amenities for Japanese reservations in onsenryokaninn-style hotels.

What I like most about this place, that it is a stunning experience. The interior is spacious, well-decorated, and a walk-able place. There are several hot spring baths available inside, all of which are small, and there is a very high level of service for our very young child. The village outside with the river is also charming and worth the walk.

I really liked my experience staying here. The room was beautiful, well-heated, and the bath was awesome. The building has a chill feel, and my French friends like it very much. The free shuttle service from the station is also very helpful. The breakfast buffet is delicious and has a wide range.

The entrance is simply wonderful, and the facilities are unquestionably worth a trip to themselves. We were given free green tea, a modest tatami room with sliding doors, and a wooden bath with a view of the river and town below. The staff gave us a beautiful wave as they waved us off. The staff prepared our five futons and a jug of cold water when we went out to supper. We even attempted to purchase some from the hotel shop, but it appears they are only rental. We received a lovely and impressive corner room on the first floor. Room 1522 was a superb and enormous room. A welcoming doorway, a large and tiny tatami room with dividing doors, and a wooden bath, all of which overlook the river and township below. When we were going out for supper, the staff assembled our five futons and left a jug of iced water. Within moments of our request, additional kata was delivered. We attempted to order some at the hotel shop, but it appeared like they were just rentable. Breakfast varied, delicious, and plentiful. We had a great sending sign off from the staff, who were smiling and helpful.
