As part of my layover in Manila, I chose this hotel, mainly based on price and location. I must say that City State Tower Hotel met the grade on both of these. Although it is somewhat dated, the hotel has very adequate facilities with a very helpful and friendly staff. There are many stores, restaurants and other places of interest very close by, including Robinson, which has a huge supermarket and department store. The room had a comfortable bed, a very good air conditioner and good sink and shower with warm water. There is even a water kettle for coffee or tea. So overall, very satisfied and I definitely would stay there again in the future.

I heartily endorse this hotel for any number of days in the city of manila. Give it a shot! The premier queen room with breakfast was enjoyable. It is always kept spotless by housekeeping. There is free coffee and water bottles in each room. Anywhere in town, the wifi is strong. The elevator is constantly operating. Very helpful and kind personnel. Fantastic restaurants, one is for fine dining and the other is in an area in front of the lobby. Saturday nights feature Freddie Aguilar, whose performance is performed by solitary singers or bands. For added amusement, there is tavern. Cst is central to many activities, restaurants nightlife, Robinson mall, oceanic park, and other family entertainment. Security officers are more than happy to call cabs for you because it is so simple to get one. Each night, its the ideal price.

Great location. Stayed here to take the Klook bus/ferry to Puerto Galera. Staff was great, room was clean with good air conditioning and hot shower. The breakfast buffet in the morning which we opted for in our room charges was delicious. Highly recommend the Citystate Tower Hotel.

There was a misunderstanding over the bed types in the room. One call to the front desk resulted in us promptly being relocated to a more suitable arrangement. The staff is pleasant and helpful.

All over the Philippines there are sneaky little 1-2 inch steps/ rises that completely catch you by surprise. Found it to be a nationwide issue, weird - so watch your step. Exiting your room's bathroom and even a few spots in the lobby no exception. Not enough fruit on the menu so I hunted my own and cut it up in my room, but I came to Asia to gorge on Papaya, mango, mangosteen, etc.
