The location was ideal. We stayed in three places in Madeira and this was our favourite. The hotel rooms and bathrooms are quite small. Bed was very comfortable and air conditioning worked well. We had a deluxe room with balcony overlooking the bay which was nice. Breakfast was good and is served on the roof so you can enjoy the view. Parking is nearby at a busy public lot. Guys hang out there to assist you in finding a spot. Just have to be patient and give them a tip!

We had a really wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel. The room was immaculate and the daily room service kept it so throughout our stay. All of the staff were very kind and helpful. The view from the bedroom across the bay was beautiful.

The Hotel and staff were really charming. Location excellent and enjoyed sitting outside with a drink watching the tourists having their picture taken with ‘Winston’ buzzy little town with good connections to Funchal. Will happily come back. Food was also very good

We stayed for a week in January at Churchill Bay. From check-in on the service was excellent, rooms were spotless and comfortable, and the hotel is in a lovely location right on the seafront.

The breakfast was excellent. Great variety. We enjoyed our breakfast wuth the wonderful veiw. The staff were amazing, helpful and always with a smile. The location was stunning. We did lots of walking in the area. Easy access to buses to explore the island. Lots of lovely restaurants. We would highly recommend. Will definitely go back.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und bemüht, dass man einen schönen Aufenthalt hat. Die Zimmer und das Hotel an sich waren sehr sauber und hatten einen klassischen Style mit Churchill Flair. Das Frühstück war lecker und für den Preis Recht vielseitig, leider hat man trotzdem nach mehreren Tagen nicht mehr wirklich Lust darauf. Aber ist wohl normal, wenn es jeden Morgen das gleiche gibt. Das Obst und Gebäck wurde durchgemischt jeden Tag, der Rest war gleich. Das einzige negative, was es gibt ist leider der Geruch in den Zimmern. Wir mussten nach 3 Tagen das Zimmer wechseln, da es nach Kanalisation gerochen hat. Im zweiten Zimmer war es wieder nach 3 Tagen so. Unsere Zimmer waren im Haupthaus, es gibt 2 Stück, wir wissen nicht, ob es im zweiten Haus besser ist (dort ist das Restaurant/Frühstück) und die "besseren" Zimmer mit Balkon. Alles in allem ein schönes Hotel mit Meerblick Frühstück. Das Fischerdorf ist auch ganz nett. Sie müssten aber wirklich mal ihre Lüftungsanlage untersuchen. Wir würden trotzdem wieder kommen :)

Great overall location to tour Madeira, especially being outside Funchal easier for car navigation. Nice property, great views of bay, 1st floor does have many tourist pass by in daytime. Great breakfast with views wonderful. Nice staff. Laundry service a plus. Parking situation/must use public lots is only negative as well as some homeless in the area...and hustle all when parking. Just give then a euro for their assistance finding you a spot. Would still stay here again!:

I absolutely adored my stay. It’s got ideal views, perfect for relaxing. The food for breakfast is great, even had gluten free options. Same went for dinner, I ate some of the best meals of my trip here. Up the stairs outside is the start of one of the best beach trails I’ve ever walked. I can’t recommend highly enough!

Schönes Zimmer mit tollem Balkon; sehr freundliches Personal; Frühstücksbuffet abwechslungsreich und sehr gut; Lage des Hotels direkt am kleinen Fischerhafen; viele Lokale in Fußnähe, wenn man nicht im Hotel Essen möchte hat man viele Alternativen.
