We travelled to the county of Maramures with our romanos friend and his girlfriend. They made all the arrangements for us and located this guest house through application. It has ten rooms, all of which are private and I believe most have balconies. It is fairly new built and is exceptionally wellkept and clean. A restaurant that serves tasty food but, as is often the case in Romanian, no attention is paid to making it hot. The view from our balcony was spectacular, but the immediate surroundings are not very pleasant being given to sawmill and automotive businesses. The staff was very good, but little English is spoken. However, the menu is in English. Its a nice base for sightseeing, but the roads are truly awful. Ill never complain about potholes in the uk again. I cant fault the prices. 40 pounds for a meal for 6. The rooms doubles the cost of 17 pounds per night. Breakfast 2 to 4 pounds. The owner has a collection of national folk costumes that you can borrow for photography. The area is stunningly beautiful and is popular with skiers in the winter. There is a lot to discover within driving distance. Fly to Club Napa and hire a vehicle if youre oblivious to drive there.

There is a restaurant that serves adequate meals but, as is often the case in Romanian, nothing is done to serve it hot.
