The most atmospheric hotel in town. One of the most iconic buildings in the area, this wellmaintained heritage structure, complete with its original grandfather lift, is well worth the staycay even with its exorbitant room rates. The room, however, falls short of the high expectations that the name suggests. The spiral staircase is the main attraction, but its overall design lacks careful consideration for safety and character. The stairs are a safety hazard, so be careful with your head when you need to make coffee at the bar. There are way too many standing lights, but there isnt a single painting on the wall to soften the room. The tv is a modest flatscreen that is recklessly thrown beneath a hanging bright light. The service is excellent, as i would have expected from a worldclass hotel chain. Overall, a great experience, but could have been perfect with some improvements.

We had a great time at the duxton reserve! We will definitely return! This is a fantastic place to stay! Beautiful rooms with a rich history! The customer service was the best weve had in a long time. The food and beverages are excellent.

The hotel is stunning, and the staff is impeccable. The location is perfect for almost everything you want to see in singapore. Walking distance to chinatown. I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.

Thank you to the duxton reserve team for a wonderful weekend getaway. The property works in tandem with its sister property, the maxwell reserve, to meet all needs. Its one of those rare gems in singapore with a 'can do attitude. A vegetarian twist to the yellowpots menu is a great bonus. Beautiful interiors and great care are shown in looking after a heritage property. A few team members stand out and need to be mentioned. Amelia, the genie running the show, aladdin, and keshav with great service.

I had a wonderful experience at the cafe and restaurant inside duxton reserve singapore, autograph collection. The soft music created the perfect atmosphere for work and the friendly waiters made me feel right at home. The decors contemporary chinese cultural inspiration was elegant and meticulously detailed. The subdued lighting set the tone for relaxation or productive laptop time. This place exceeded all my expectations for a comfortable and stylish environment.

A very unique hotel in a very trendy area with many good restaurants within walking distance. Better suited for business travelers as rooms have limited storage space and are insufficient for those of us who have stepped off a cruise ship and are used to 50 garment hangers. The food and drinks are quite good, but americans will find them expensive. But thats Singapore. Very friendly and helpful staff who really tried to make our stay enjoyable.

One of the only true 5star experiences out there. The staff is what makes this place one of the best hotels ive had the chance to stay at. The location couldnt be better and everything was within walking distance. Drinks, food and rooms are perfect in every way possible. It just feels like home.

I enjoyed my stay here. The location of the hotel was fantastic and close to the meeting. The design was expensive, but the room was very dark. The receptionist Constance was very helpful, kind, and helpful. She's amazing. Very thank you, Constance.

We had a great time at the six Senses duxton. Excellent customer service i felt well taken care of by the team. The hotel has an intriguing concept with little surprises along the way. The suite has lovely decor and the bed and pillows were comfortable. Everything feels very new. This is one of the few hotels we would really love to return to.

Almost everything about this hotel is exceptional. The location is choice, right in the middle of dozens of restaurants and within walking distance of marina bay. The service was excellent and very attentive. What really distinguishes this hotel is their onsite fruit juice. We tried almost all of them and were very refreshing after a hot day exploring the city. The only thing i didnt like was the bathrooms, especially the shower. The water intentionally floods half of the bathroom floor and is not enclosed. Yes, this is trendy, but frankly it is more annoying than anything. Overall a great experience.

I stayed on the recommendation of a family member. More than met expectations. Great location and beautiful restored atmosphere. Very friendly staff who were very helpful. Excellent breakfast and food. Thank you to keshav and all the staff and look forward to staying again.

I highly recommend this hotel to all tourists who visit singapore. All the services provided are above our expectations, and the manager, font, and other staff are all very friendly. We feel like we are back home. The breakfast is delicious, and we love all the dishes and drinks.

What a wonderful experience staying at the lovely duxton reserve after numerous trips to singapore. There was no bellman standing outside in the hot humidity, but it wasnt an issue because i took a few steps into pure luxury. The front desk and management staff rushed to assist me with our bags. The friendly and attentive service made us feel special and appreciated. The food and beverage selection was exceptional due to the attentive service provided by all staff members. The main reason i will return is the fun atmosphere and excellent service provided by all staff members! Thank you to everyone who made our stay so special and enjoyable!.

I wish i could have stayed longer. This is the best hotel staff experience ive ever had in singapore. A big thank you to leigh, who worked in the restaurant and bar. She did a great job, was very attentive and i was always addressed by my name. The food and drinks here were great and the executive rooms had a great idea of drinks and snacks at the bar. The quality was very high. Nice location too.

Although this is worthwhile if you want to experience the ancient experience, I would warn against staying so long. I spent two nights in Singapore, and I wanted to try Dutton Reserve. Its a historic hotel in Chinatown in a fantastic location. My first impression is that the hotel had a beautiful lobby with a lot of thought going into highlighting the historic significance of the structure. I also liked that I was upgraded to a duplex suite, more on that later. The duplex suite is a room with a living area downstairs and a spiral staircase leading up to the sleeping area. In the photographs, the room is awesome, and I was eager to stay. However, the actual room had a dysfunctional layout and poorly planned lighting. To light things up, you need much more lighting because the room is predominantly dark tones. The hallway leading to the room was also very dim at night. Particularly in the sleeping area, the entire duplex was extremely dim at night. I had to use a flashlight to inspect my belongings because the closet space was so dim. The bathroom was big, and it had a sink that was way too large, so that there was no counter space for toiletries except in front of the shower, so the toiletries basically get all wet while showering. This hotel is not for everyone. Located in chinatown, the duxton reserve definitely has the feel of a 4 star boutique hotel, with lots of charm both inside and out. If this place is a former opium den and brothel, it definitely has a special atmosphere. My upgraded Opium room faced back, so it was quiet and there was no street noise. However, it is minuscule to an almost problem point, and the bathroom is even smaller. Some people may feel claustrophic in this place. Quality bedding and amenities were up to the Marriott standard. Breakfast was good, but a bit rigid. You have a choice of whats on the menu, everything else extra. The location is convenient for those looking to discover chinatown, although the marina bay is a good walk away. Parking is problematic if you drive a car, streetside parking and adjacent small municipal parking get full fast due to the concentration of restaurants. I found an affordable solution in the Fraser tower a short 10 minute walk away, 4$ per entry per 24 hours. Duxton reserve is a welcome and charming change from the cookie cutter feel of westins and Marriotts, but some may find it too quirky.

I would recommend this hotel to my friends! Definitely yes! For a different experience in the nonhotel district. Especially for a shorter trip. Us$500 per night on Opium room 2 Designed by world renowned designer anouska hempel. Beautifully decorated hotel lobby and bar/restaurant area. Opium room 2 has an inroom bar set up for selfprepared cocktails! Some observations a broken wifi connection in the room. When we arrived, the shower drain was plugged and repaired while we were told to be in our room. Time wasted while on vacation. Security safe is inoperable when you arrive. Replaced while the bathroom drain was being repaired, again wasted time wasted while on holiday. Loose light bulbs in the room resulted in flickering lighting. Only one pillow options a feather filled, insufficient storage chest and cloth hanging capacity for a oneweek stay. Second note, after checkout service, hotel manager and concierge hugo is a pleasure to work with! Always there, always smiling and attentive! Would i stay here again? Probably not. I missed the big hotel amenities and better storage in the room. For the same price, i could have gone to the Ritz Carlton Millennium or marina bay Sands.
