We will stay here again in the future. In august, we stayed in a few bed I breakfasts while we were there. Dark and his wife are nice, pleasant people, and his welcoming liquor is delicious. Breakfast is good and very varied. We were able to make our bedtime coffee in the kitchen, which was a plus. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a comfortable bathroom and a great view. Dark recommended a good place to eat, and the avid at the tiny airport up the road turned out to be the dinner spot.

I was confused by the reviews here. We were searching for a location to stay close to the castle and cave and this place had the highest reviews in the area. Like other reviewers, Ill say the owners were incredibly welcoming, especially in the food. greeting us with plum brandy upon arrival and preparing a huge breakfast spread the following morning. Wow! Their generosity even included providing foil and encouraging us to make sandwiches and bring lunch with us. Very kind and generous indeed! But we were not satisfied with our sleep that night or the room we stayed in. The bed was as hard as a board. My husband thought it felt like a box spring without a mattress. The walls were so thin and we had the unfortunate pleasure of hearing the man next to us snore all night long. So, if we were ever in this area again, we wouldnt stay at the Guest House senator. We would probably stay in the capital and drive across in the morning. Its only about 30 minutes away by car.

The hotel is located 10 minutes from the caves, I would strongly suggest visiting it. The room was comfortable and neat. The owner was kind and always offered us a great breakfast and sandwiches to take on the trip! The bathroom and room were large. The pizza in the aviopub close to the guesthouse was very good.

This guesthouse is very beautiful, family and great place to spend your nights and free time while visiting Postojna Cave with train and amazing Predjama Castle. Very good and loving people and great breakfast. I recommend it!

I would give it 5 stars if I stayed in a windowless room. That means it is nearly perfect as a budget guest house. It is 15 minutes by car from Postojna cave, 5 minutes by car from the highway to Ljubljana and italy, and 40 minutes by car from Ljubljana. The location is suitable for all destinations. Although their breakfast is not a buffet, it must be far better than a buffet. Even in the early morning, I was already full, and they even kind enough to accommodate my request for 3 egg fries. I like this guest house, so I must stay here again in the future! There is a bunk bed and a double bed in the family room.
