We would happily return. I have no idea how jai t and gavytravels discovered the subway 15 or 20 minutes from Borstal from the Sookmyung womens university subway station exit one, it is at most a 2 minute walk. Or 5 minutes if you are carrying heavy luggage, as we were. Take note that the subway exit is about 30 stairs if youre carrying luggage. Getting into the subway is essentially very convenient, and Seoul station is the next stop on line 4. Andy is an excellent friendly host who is very helpful and looked after our luggage for a few hours after we checked out. Free breakfast includes cornflakes, two juicetypes, a filter and intypes of coffee, toast, and strawberry jam. The room was a double bed, very small, becoming very small with two large suitcases but manageable. Heater on the foot. Separate ante room where you leave your shoes, and a separate bathroom with free toiletries. Do note that the towels provided are in Korean style, that is, hand towels are Europeanamerican, but they are thick and you sort of get used to it. I made use of the fridge on the first floor to store leftovers, which is quite handy.

If you have a really tight budget, don't mind feeling suffocated and have good thoughts, only choose this guesthouse. Not recommended if you're traveling with family or children. Not suitable if you plan to move around in your room because your medium luggage and all hiking backpacks can fill the majority of the room's space. The location is only a 2-minute walk from the subway station, which is the only acceptable feature about this hostel. That's it, guys.

This is a five-star place for backpackers. A great helpful receptionist, a clean and straightforward breakfast, in the heart of the city, close to the subway station, all palaces, temples, and shopping avenues. The room is only suitable for sleeping when you are exhausted. The entryway is smelly, and the garden of other shops is dirty. The bathroom is not suitable for use by families. The breakfast is simple and basic. This hotel is in the city center, and close to the subway stop.
