Viang Thapae Resort really is an oasis in this very busy area of Chiang Mai. The resort looks like a tropical island. The rooms are very well appointed. I loved the decor! It was also very clean. The bed was comfortable and A/C was working. There is a small pool that's perfect to cool down on hot days. The staff is super friendly and eager to help. Breakfast was a basic continental style with a few Thai touches. Nothing to write home about, but good and conveniently located in the lovely dining area overlooking the pond. Note that the address will lead you to the back door, which is locked after hours. The front door is just around the corner. I would recommend management put up a sign with directions. Overall a great stay and very much recommended for individuals, couples, and families.

Did not allow us to check in early. After flying for 20 hours, we just wanted to take a shower and lay down. The place let us leave our luggage at the hotel while we figured out how to kill time until check in. Most hotels usually allow you to check in early, for a fee so I was surprised at the hard no.

Resor yang luar biasa dalam standar dekorasi tradisional Thailand, dua kolam renang kecil yang berfungsi "berfungsi" kecuali hotel penuh dan para tamu memutuskan untuk menyeruput bir di dalam air! Pilih kamar dengan pemandangan kolam renang di lantai dasar. Satu-satunya masalah adalah nilai uang! Dapat melakukan lebih baik daripada tawaran di Chiang Mai, meskipun lokasinya sangat bagus, hanya sepelemparan batu dari Gerbang Tha Phae, tempat semua kunjungan dimulai!

This place is truly exceptional. It boasts an exceptional location and a fantastic pool. The breakfast provided is exceptional, and the staff are exceptional. However, the air conditioning system was stale, making my room excessively hot. I informed the staff, but nothing was done. Despite these issues, overall, it was a fantastic stay. I would rate it a 4star rating.

Nice quiet resort near the old town and night bazaar. Beautiful room by the pool. However, i felt a bit exposed when sitting on the balcony due to the small nature of the pool which was used by all guests. Still had a great time. Breakfast was simple but enough options to keep us satisfied for our 4 mornings.

The hotel is surrounded by wellkept greenery and flowers. There are 2 pools area with one pool for direct pool access rooms. Good location, a short walk to food, shopping and the gate. Nice quiet place suitable for family. Breakfast is ok.

Kamarnya bersih dan indah. Namun, di dalam kamar ada sedikit bau apek. Lokasi bagus dekat Gerbang Tha Phae. Berjalan sekitar 400 meter. Gangnya cukup sempit dan sulit dilalui mobil, tetapi sekolah memiliki tempat parkir.

The resort is situated very close to the old town and a busy district. The place itself is like a paradise, though surrounded by palms, a small pond, and many plants. This way you can hide from the bustling city. The place is clean and has two pools. The staff is very friendly. There was a slight miscommunication with the booking, but the staff acted quickly and assisted us accordingly. As a sun lover, it was sad that one of the pools had no sun and the other only had sun for two hours a day. The rooms are a bit dark due to the brown furniture (i personally enjoy a lot of light. Breakfast could be optimized. But to be honest, most of the places i stayed in thailand didnt have a good breakfast.
