I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. I thought, how terrible can the noise be after reading other evaluations. Oh, the land. Even at night, we used a white noise app, and it was not up to the ridiculously loud mufflers on almost all the cars. I know the hotel can't do anything about that, but some noise-cancelling windows would be nice! We were also there one night for an nba game at paco, and there the next was country music, and we had to circle the hotel for a good 30 minutes trying to navigate the road closures and traffic. Again, there isn't much the hotel can do about that, and it's in a great location if you visit there, but it would be great to see a sign in the lobby letting guests know to expect that and instructions on which roads will be open. On to the positives! Speaking of location, it was very simple to walk everywhere downtown botanical gardens, restaurants, memorials, art museums, etc., and we felt secure doing so. We got a suite upgrade, and the room was fantastic! Living room, desk, small kitchen, separate bedroom, etc. The wifi was extremely simple, fast, and reliable, and the staff was very responsive even the valet at 6 am when we wanted to go to breakfast and the reception. The hotel is magnificent! Although the hotel is still new to work, the receptionists provided excellent customer service. They attempted to give me food I didn't order when I ordered in the Tellers bar area and claimed that it was placed in the wrong even though I ordered a margarita with salt. I gave the waitress my credit card, but she never got my receipt. When I requested it, she brought me a second invoice to be charged to my room, but I confirmed the charge with my credit card. I also ordered room service and was charged $2 more than the advertised price. When I messaged the hotel, they said it was due to tax, but the tax was listed separately, so the item was still $2 more than advertised. After providing this clarification, they never responded, so I'm still not clear why I was overcharged. Overall, a good experience, but I'd give it another few months before returning because they're finding flaws.4,4/523 Mar 2023

I have stayed in a variety of good hotels in Oklahoma City, and the National Hotel is the best. The rooms are spacious, beautiful, and very comfortable. The receptionist went above and above to make sure my checkin went well. Highly recommend staying here.4,6/522 Jan 2023

The fact that this hotel seems so delightful is problematic. One, the toilet in our room has been having a rough time throughout our trip, so I asked them to leave the plunger for whatever reason. Even empty. But more problematic was the continuous car racing outside every night on all three nights we remained here. It's impolite and there is no way to sleep without the noise. I have to acknowledge the exceptional personnel. They go above and beyond to ensure that the stay is pleasant. Breakfast is delectable. While it was free when we were here for a conference, I wouldn't have to pay the $112 per person fee if I had to. Because the grill looks more like a bar, we walked to distant eateries for our meal. I would remain here again, but I would need earplugs and a room on the backside to hopefully drown out the noise. Without earplugs and noise, it would unquestionably be a five. Take the train from Fort Worthgainesville, and the hotel is almost directly across the street. We were in town to see the thunder game, and you could walk outside the hotel and be in the area. Excellent location for the Paco center event. Only a short walk to the bars and restaurants in Bricktown. Nice clean lobby and rooms.4,6/58 Nov 2022

We really liked this hotel, especially because it was right next door to the Paco Center, where we saw elton john. It was ridiculous that their expensive breakfast buffet was someone scooping up a few items in a Styrofoam box due to cough. It definitely should have been included in your room and was not worth what they charged. Parking costs were also expensive. I'm sorry but you pay $150 for a hotel and shouldn't be charged to park your car, but you have no option. We stayed two nights so, WOW! The windows definitely aren't soundproof. We were on the second floor and hot rods went most of the night and you could barely hear the television. As loud as if he was standing outside. The hotel was nice, and the rooms were nice and comfortable. But the extras they charged you plus the horrible noise made me only give it three stars.4,2/529 Jul 2022

I love what they did to preserve and make the historic structure better. We enjoyed our stay here and the restaurant is great. Came to see it decorated for Christmas this morning. It's stunning. This is definitely one of the most relaxing and quick check-in vacations I've ever had. It was very simple to check in and out. Breakfast both mornings was delicious, the rooms were spotless, and we had an amazing king room with a full office suite in it. It was quite cute. Very modern, old we felt comfortable and slept well. It's typical to assume that all the other things are equally wonderful while you're staying at a beautiful property, but at the end of the day, details matter and if service is subpar, the whole experience is a letdown. The National in OK is without a doubt a stunning location to stay. The great hall dominates the architecture of an era gone by, and when you enter, it is a gorgeous reflection of that time. The rooms are comfortable and a lovely spot to hang your hat for the night. Sadly, the national is monolithic in form and substance. It takes a while to find the deficiencies as problems occur. Ultimately, as issues arise, you realize that the concerns are not isolated but rather a structural flaw in management. For some incomprehensible reason, the management who has been given a gem refuses to promote a culture of excellence.
