Absolutely perfect stay in Chicago. Everything we needed was there, breakfast was over the top amazing. I LOVE the area and the pizza spot downstairs, this place includes other perks also like BOGO well drink downstairs. Big Gay Sal’s pizza also does room service. I have never felt so at home away from home. 10/10 recommend, HIGHLY recommend

I loved everything about this place! I was a bit skeptical when I saw how inexpensive it was relative to the location (a 5 min walk to Wrigley), but it was just perfect. A 100+ yr old house in the heart of Halsted, super clean, really quiet (weekday only stay), friendly people — it checked every box. I’ll never stay anywhere but here when I come to Chicago for Cubs games.

First time at Dorothy's but I've stayed at her sister location so I know the owner/management and what to expect. Great location and the building is kept up very well. My only non happy comment was no dresser in this room. Its ok since this visit was just me. Being able to use a full kitchen and store food in the refrigerator is a major plus

I stayed here during a week of business etc and found the accommodations excellent for a long-ish stay. My room was the Purple Room - private bath, dining area, living room and separate bedroom. Clean, quiet, comfortable and appointed with everything one would need: Coffee maker, small fridge, microwave, dishes. Plenty of towels and storage in the bathroom. Big comfortable sectional sofa to lounge/work on. The staff is off site and responded quickly to text messages. The lock code provided easy and safe access to the room. VERY fun neighborhood - walking distance to everything, including Chicago's beautiful lakefront.

Fantastic location within walking distance of Wrigley Field and many Lakeview hot spots. Check-in and check-out were seamless, and I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of space within the suite! It's definitely not for folks who aren't used to urban street noise, although it didn't bother me at all. My ONLY "complaint" was that the room was super cold. There is a portable radiator in the living room, but even turned up all the way, it didn't warm the space up at all. I located an extra blanket in the front closet, wrapped up in that, and was warm and happy as a clam. I will definitely be returning!

The room was small, but very comfortable. Initially, I was a bit leery of the "no reception; we'll send you a code" check-in, but it went very smoothly. The code worked on all the doors it was supposed to work on, and I appreciated the triple-layer of code security - outside door, door to the floor, door to the room. Dorothy's is ideally situated, and easy walking distance to attractions in the area, in addition to the Red line train and numerous bus lines. If I had to ding Dorothy's on anything, it's this: Coffeemate isn't cream and doesn't do the same in your coffee in the morning as does half-and-half.
