Self check-in. Parking was a bit cramped, but fine for a smaller car like mine. Being a bit paranoid, the window air conditioner worried me. It would be really easy to break in through the window if someone wanted to. Also, you can't close the window because of the AC, therefore it can be a bit noisy because the property is right on 395. Otherwise, the room itself was clean, spacious and had a nice shower. The property is in a good location near Mono Lake and Yosemite East entrance. There are food options and even a market in walking distance. Overall a 4 out of 5 for me.

If you're looking for a place to stay near Yosemite, we HIGHLY recommend the Lee Vining Hotel! Our room was immaculate, comfortable, and was just what we needed for our four-day stay. It is recently renovated/updated, and our room had a mini-fridge and a microwave. There are also chairs and some tables outside of the room which is nice when the weather in suitable for sitting outside and enjoying the fresh air. The hotel is centrally located in the town and within walking distance to a diner, a barbecue restaurant, several coffee shops, and let's not forget the Mono Cone for ice cream, milkshakes, yummy burgers and such. Housekeeping does an amazing job of preparing the room for guests, including putting a bow on the toilet paper and even making a bow with the washcloths. Not necessary, but a nice little touch. The staff is also very friendly. For late arrivals, they put your key and information on a board at the front of the hotel. Just be sure to let them know you will be arriving late. The Lee Vining Hotel is conveniently located to the Tioga Pass entrance to Yosemite (12 miles), Bodie Mining Town/Historic Park (31 miles/approx 45 min drive), June Lake, and Mono Lake. One benefit of staying in Lee Vining as opposed to Mammoth Lakes is that there isn't a tourism charge in Lee Vining. If you're traveling through or looking for an affordable, clean, and comfortable place to stay for your visit to Yosemite, we give LVH 5 stars. Would definitely stay here again!

It is a small roadside motel in a small mountain community, set your expectations accordingly. I stayed 5 nights, it was clean, convenient, and I slept comfortably. I used it as a home base for photography and sightseeing. No issues. Would stay there again!

There was a dead spider on my bed. There’s also no cell phone service at all in this town. They have WiFi. Everything closes at 8pm or earlier. Easy room access. Check in and check out were very easy. Room was clean for the most part and beds were somewhat comfortable.
