Loved the spacious room size and bathroom size! The pool was phenomenal! Great help at the front desk at the hotel on top of the mountain and bottom! It was a wonderful place to stay and economical for me and my son! We will be back sometime just not sure when.

Trevor and Katie at The Inn at Snowshoe were absolutely the best. We talked with Katie for several minutes. She is absolutely one of the very best front desk staff, I had the privilege of interacting with.

Went to Snowshoe for a family Christmas vacation. Kids got to snowboard and ski while we hung out with our grandson. Hotel was clean, comfortable and quiet. Indoor pool and hot tubs were very well maintained. The breakfast was very good. The food at the Village was a bit pricey so we ate at the café across the street from the hotel where the prices were much better. Service there was a little slow during the rush but everything was prepared when ordered so it was very fresh. There is also another little restaurant about a mile down the street from the hotel where the prices were even better. Sorry I can't remember the name but it is just past the gas station. After checking out my husband realized he did not have his pocket knife. We called the hotel and asked them to see they could check with the housekeeping staff to see if they may have found it. They said they would call us back after checking with them. About 20 minutes later they called and had found the knife and said they would send it to us. About a week later we received it. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my family and friends.

I was very well pleased with my experience at The Inn at Snowshoe. It was close to my location that I was visiting and enjoyed the scenics roads traveled to get there. The location of the resort thru no fault of theirs has them in a limited area for WiFi, and no cell phone coverage, but it was kind of nice being bothered by people trying to get in touch with me. Internet access is only available in the hotel lobby area not individual rooms, but there was plenty of seats and had no trouble connecting to the outside world. I would stay there again if my travels took me to that part of the country...

I had always promised my 2 younger grandsons to take a train ride when they got big enough to leave their parents for longer than overnight. We arrived at The Inn at Snowshoe on Monday early evening, July 28, 2014. I had read the reviews before I left home and was really questioning the wisdom of staying there BUT with great delight we were more than pleased with the accommodations. The staff was MORE THAN polite and very helpful in directing us to a place to eat. We had NO trouble with the staff giving the boys towels after they had hit the pool and hot tubs on a daily basis. The "Inn" itself is NOT NEW, BUT kept very clean and in very good working order. The staff went out of their way to guide us to the RR and made sure we understood the timetable and need for us to be there at the RR depot early. We were given passes to the "ski resort on top of the mountain" with our sign in to the Inn. They were 4 day passes and allowed us to utilize the resort. BUT the boys were more than content to stay at the Inn and swim after a day of sightseeing. Once again the staff went out of their way to inform us of what points of interest were around the area. We had the opportunity to eat in the breakfast room every morning FREE of charge. They served biscuits and gravy, Danishes, cold/hot cereal, cocoa, coffee, and a variety of juices. We left on Thursday morning, July 31, 2014, and can honestly say that if we were to be in that area again, I would NOT hesitate to stay at the Inn.

Basic hotel close to Snowshoe. The cheapest option. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. The pool and hot tubs were nice. The shuttle only ran once every hour, so you had to plan or WAIT which is what we had to do! My son forgot his toothbrush and they did not have any to offer guests...at the rate we were paying, I would think they could offer guests this basic service! There is no cell phone reception anywhere at snowshoe. They do offer Wifi, but you will not be able to use your phone service. This is not the hotel's fault, this is a blackout area!

Good experience for a motorcyclist. Allowed to park bike under front porte cochere which is well lit and has surveillance. Staff reasonably personable.

This place was better than expected, except for a few minor things. Let me talk about the Con's: The bathroom could use a remodel, the shower was kind of small, and the paint on the bathroom walls needs some TLC. Not crazy about the resort fee. Also wish there was wi-fi in the rooms as I have an internet radio show I like to listen to at night. Pro's: continental breakfast, great fill up to get going in the morning! Quite room, couldn't hear traffic at night while sleeping. Nice pool and hot tub, perfect temps! Staff was knowledgeable about surrounding area. Hotel is close to Cass Scenic Railroad, and the Green bank observatory.

Very few guests at this time of year. Hotel was almost deserted which actually was nice. Food choices very limited during our mid week stay. Overall had an enjoyable time.

Very nice time at the hotel. Very comfortable bed. Only suggestion is needs brighter lighting. All else was nice.

This was the quietest motel I've stayed in, and that was nice. The walls had holes in them, and the headboard on one bed was skewed. That was a bit disconcerting. Also, the ice machine was in need of cleaning. The staff was courteous, and helpful. I would certainly stay there again.
