Due to the COVID-19 situation around the world, requests for airline passenger funds have increased significantly. Fund processing takes longer than usual.

Special Protocol

Before you travel, make sure you have checked and prepared travel requirements, such as a COVID-19 free certificate, visa suspension & quarantine rules at origin, transit / connection, and destination.

The following things need to be considered in relation to Philippine Airline flight procedures:

  • For information on passengers who can enter the Manila area, please check the provisions of the Philippines Country or Airport here.
  • Fill out and bring two Declaration Release and Waiver forms that can be accessed here and here.
  • Fill out the following form here for preclearance from DFA Manila. For OFW (Overseas Filipino Worker) and Non-OFW points, please complete only 72 hours before the flight. Instructions for filling out the form can be seen here.
  • All passengers must carry and wear face mask and face shield. Failure to bring a face shield will mean that you will not be allowed to board your flight.   • Transit is only valid for flights between domestic Philippines and flights from domestic Philippines to international.
  • For passengers with Non-Philippine Passports who wish to travel to the Philippines, it is mandatory to have a certification issued by the Philippine Embassy. You can access more information here.

Refund

Refunds for Philippine Airline are not currently given in cash, but in the form of EMD / Travel Vouchers. There is administration fare applied for EMD / Travel Vouchers issuance. The conditions for submitting an EMD / Travel Vouchers refund are as follows:

  • EMD / Travel Voucher redemption is subject to applicable airline rules and EMD can be used to purchase PAL tickets / baggage / seats.
  • Exchange of EMD can only be carried out until 31 March 2021
  • EMD / Travel Vouchers cannot be cashed

Reschedule

  • Reschedule request in form of submission

  • Rescheduling conditions are subject to each airline policies and availability

 

Reroute

  • Submitting a re-route can be done while using the same airline
  • Submissions are made at the related airlines
  • Waiver for reroute fee only valid one time only
  • If the reroute ticket price is greater than the EMD / Travel Voucher value given, the price difference will be paid by the passenger. If the ticket price is lower than the EMD / Travel Voucher given, then the price difference will not be given to the passenger.
  • Reroute conditions are subject to each airline policies and availability.
