Latest update on April 1st, 2023:

• All inbound persons must pass temperature checks upon arrival. Those found with symptoms will be referred to the Department of Health for further handling.
• Hong Kong government recommends all inbound persons to conduct daily RATs using self-arranged rapid antigen test (RAT) kits during the period between the day of arrival (i.e. Day 0) and Day 5 after arrival at Hong Kong. 
• Passengers must have a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated at least 14 days before departure of the last direct flight to Hong Kong, SAR China. The certificate must be in Chinese or English or accompanied by a written confirmation in Chinese or English issued by the health authority of the country of vaccination. Vaccines accepted are: Anhui Zhifei Longcom, AstraZeneca (SK Bioscience), AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), CanSinoBIO (Convidecia), Covaxin, Covishield, Covovax, IMBCAMS, Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax), Nuvaxovid (Novavax), Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty), BioKangtai, Sinopharm, Sinovac and Sputnik V.   • Residents of Hong Kong SAR, China;

  • Passengers who in the past 7 days have only been in Mainland of China, Chinese Taipei or Macao SAR, China;

  • Passengers < 12 years;

  • Passengers between 12 and 17 years old with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they received one dose of Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty) at least 14 days before departure of the last direct flight to Hong Kong, SAR China;

  • Passengers with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they received one dose of Anhui Zhifei Longcom, AstraZeneca (SK Bioscience), AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), CanSinoBIO (Convidecia), Covaxin, Covishield, Covovax, IMBCAMS, Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax), Nuvaxovid (Novavax), Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty), BioKangtai, Sinopharm, Sinovac or Sputnik V at least 14 days before departure of the last direct flight to Hong Kong, SAR China. They must prove that they were infected with COVID-19 before.

• Check-In through the “LeaveHomeSafe” App is no longer required. However, visitors still need to show Vaccine Passes when entering premises such as restaurants.

Passengers are not required to have travel insurance to enter Hong Kong. However, we recommend you to have travel insurance which can be seen here.
