Entry Restrictions

 

  • Overseas travelers are allowed to enter Indonesia while still following strict health protocols as stipulated by the Government.

  • Foreigners travelers can enter the territory of Indonesia with the following criteria:

    • In accordance with the provisions regarding immigration regulated by the ministry that administers government affairs in the fields of law and human rights;

    • In accordance with the agreement scheme (bilateral), such as the Travel Corridor Arrangement (TCA); and/or

    • Obtain special consideration/permission in writing from the Ministry/Agency.

  • All overseas travelers, both Indonesian Citizens (WNI) and Foreign Citizens (WNA) enter Indonesian territory through the entry points for foreign travel as follows:

    • Soekarno Hatta Airport, Banten;

    • Juanda Airport, East Java;

    • Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali;

    • Hang Nadim Airport, Riau Islands;

    • Raja Haji Fisabilillah Airport, Riau Islands;

    • Sam Ratulangi Airport, North Sulawesi; and

    • Zainuddin Abdul Madjid Airport, West Nusa Tenggara;

    • Kualanamu Airport, North Sumatra;

    • Sultan Hasanuddin Airport, South Sulawesi; and

    • Yogyakarta Airport, Special Region of Yogyakarta.

  • The entry point for PPLN involved in the hajj program and opened within the period from June 4, 2022 to August 15, 2022:

    • Sultan Iskandar Muda Airport, Aceh;

    • Minangkabau Airport, West Sumatra;

    • Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport, South Sumatra;

    • Adisumarmo Airport, Central Java;

    • Syamsuddin Noor Airport, South Kalimantan; and

    • Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman Airport, Sepinggan, East Kalimantan.

Additional Entry Requirements

 

Vaccination

  • Show a card/certificate (physical or digital) of the second dose of COVID-19 vaccine/booster written in English at least 14 (fourteen) days before departure.

    • Indonesian citizens and foreigners who have not received the vaccine will be vaccinated at the entry point after carrying out an RT-PCR test on arrival with a negative result or at a quarantine place after a second RT-PCR examination with a negative result is carried out;

    • Foreigners travelers who are already in Indonesia and will travel, both domestically and internationally, are required to vaccinate through a program or gotong royong scheme in accordance with the provisions of the legislation.

 

COVID-19 Test

  • Fully vaccinated/boosted overseas travelers do not need to bring the results of the PCR/Antigen test.

  • Overseas travelers are required to undergo an examination of symptoms related to COVID-19 including checking body temperature:

    • Overseas travelers who are detected to have COVID-19 symptoms and/or have a body temperature above 37.5 degrees Celsius, must undergo RT-PCR re-examination at a cost to be borne by the government for Indonesian citizens and the costs to be borne independently for foreigners. If the test result is negative then:

      • Overseas travelers who have not been able to get vaccinated or have received the first dose of vaccine at least 14 days before departure, are required to quarantine for 5 x 24 hours;

      • Overseas travelers who have received the second or third dose of vaccine at least 14 days before departure, are allowed to continue their journey.

 

Required Documents & Application

  • Fill in the E Customs Declaration. One family can file one Customs Declaration.

  • All international travelers (Indonesian citizens/foreigners) must download and use the PeduliLindung app as a requirement to enter Indonesian territory.

  • If overseas travelers will conduct a centralized quarantine with self-financing, they must show proof of payment confirmation for booking quarantine accommodation from the accommodation provider while staying in Indonesia.

Quarantine Policy

 

  • Quarantine for 5 days for travelers who have not been vaccinated or only received the 1st dose of vaccine (subject to an RT-PCR test on day 4. 

  • Quarantine free for fully-vaccinated travelers or booster shot recipients.

  • Travelers under 18 years old and/or require special protection must follow the quarantine regulations that apply to their parents or caretakers/travel companions.

G20 Meeting Bubble in Indonesia

 

The member of the bubble system at the G20 meeting in Indonesia can enter the bubble area with the following mechanism:

  • Direct flights through entry points for overseas travel to the G20 meeting bubble area in Indonesia;

  • Transit through the entry point (entry point) for overseas travel and then continue domestic travel to the G20 meeting bubble area in Indonesia;

  • Domestic travel by air, land, or sea to the G20 meeting bubble area in Indonesia.

 

G20 Meeting Bubble Entry Requirements in Indonesia

  • All members of the G20 meeting bubble system in Indonesia who come through entry points for overseas travel must meet the following requirements:

    • Show a complete dose of COVID-19 vaccine card or certificate (physical or digital) at least 14 days before departure. Vaccines must be in English and verified on the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia.

    • Shows negative RT-PCR results taken a maximum of 3x24 hours before departure.

    • Show proof of official documents of involvement in a series of activities at the G20 meeting in Indonesia.

    • For members in the G20 meeting bubble system in Indonesia who are foreigners:

      • Show a visit visa or other entry permit following the provisions of the applicable laws and regulations.

      • Show proof of ownership of health insurance with an insured value of USD 25,000 and includes financing for handling COVID-19.

  • Undergo temperature check and RT-PCR test upon arrival. If the test result is negative, you can proceed with the following mechanism:

    • The members of the G20 meeting bubble system in Indonesia with delegates, delegation groups, and VVIPs can continue their journey by following the procedures according to the bubble group.

    • Bubble system members with the status of officers or event committees must undergo centralized quarantine and undergo a second RT-PCR test at the end of the quarantine period according to applicable regulations before continuing their journey to the destination location according to the bubble group.

  • If the results of the RT-PCR test on arrival show a positive result, then follow up with the following conditions:

    • Those who are confirmed positive for COVID-19 with no symptoms or have mild symptoms must undergo isolation in isolation accommodation separate from the bubble area at their own expense (foreigners) or borne by the government (WNI); or

    • The bubble system members who are confirmed positive for COVID-19 with moderate or severe symptoms must undergo isolation/treatment in a hospital at their own expense (foreigners) or borne by the government (WNI).

 

Regulations While Staying in the Bubble Area of ​​the G20 Meeting in Indonesia

  • Show a complete COVID-19 vaccine card or certificate (physical or digital) dose.

  • Undergo a Rapid Antigen test before entering the venue and only enter if the test result is negative.

  • Undergo routine Rapid Antigen tests every day and/or routine RT-PCR tests a maximum of once every 3 days.

  • You are only allowed to interact with people in one bubble group.

  • You are only allowed to carry out activities in the bubble zone that have been determined.
