  • Nepal is open for travel under certain restrictions.
  • Passengers are not allowed to transit through Nepal to India

Additional Entry Requirements

 

  • Passengers must have a full-dose COVID-19 vaccination certificate at least 14 days prior to arrival.

  • Passengers must have a negative COVID-19 test result taken at most 3x24 hours before departure from the first embarkation point. Tests accepted are GeneXpert, NAAT and RT-PCR.

    • This does not apply to passengers younger than 5 years.

  • Passengers must fill out the International Online Arrival Form prior to arrival in Nepal and present it at check-in.

  • Passengers could be subject to a COVID-19 antigen test upon arrival.

  • Passengers must have a hotel reservation confirmation. The hotel must be listed here. This does not apply to:

    • passengers with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated.

    • passengers younger than 5 years.

    • passengers older than 75 years.

Quarantine Policy

 

  • Passengers who have not been vaccinated must be quarantined in an approved hotel for 5 days and undergo a COVID test.

  • Passengers who have been vaccinated in full doses do not need to undergo quarantine.

Visa Policy

 

  • The visa on arrival facility is again permitted for passengers who have a full-dose of COVID-19 vaccination certificate at least 14 days prior to arrival.
    • This does not apply to passengers traveling with emergency passports, temporary passports or temporary travel documents.
