GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC): As of 1 May 2025, all foreign passport holders must complete and submit the TDAC electronically up to 3 (three) days before entering Thailand. Exemptions apply only to travelers transiting or transferring through Thailand without passing through immigration control. Travelers can submit the TDAC individually or as a group via https://tdac.immigration.go.th.
  • New e-visa system: As of 1 January 2025, Thailand implemented a new e-visa system, allowing travelers to apply for visas online through Thai embassies and consulates worldwide.
  • Tourist Tax Regulation: Thailand plans to introduce a THB 300 tourist tax starting mid-2025, initially applicable to air travelers.
  • Certificate of Entry (COE) and Thailand Pass are no longer mandatory for travelers. 
  • COVID-19 Testing and Vaccination: Travelers are no longer required to present proof of vaccination or COVID-19 test results upon arrival in Thailand.

VISA INFORMATION FOR TOURISTS

Nationals of 93 countries and territories, including Indonesian nationals, may enter Thailand without a visa for up to 60 days, with the option to extend for another 30 days.

IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS

Based on Thailand's immigration regulations, foreign nationals visiting Thailand under the visa exemption program need to provide proof of financial capability to support themselves during their stay. Therefore, Indonesian nationals are advised to adhere to the following:

  1. Ensure their passport is valid for at least 6 months.
  2. Provide proof of a return ticket.
  3. Show evidence of accommodation/hotel booking for their stay in Thailand.
  4. Show proof of means of living expenses in the amount of THB 10,000 per person and THB 20,000 per family.

 

According to Thailand's Immigration Act B.E. 2522 (1979), the decision to grant or deny entry to foreign nationals into Thailand lies solely with Thai immigration officers.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

Foreign tourists are recommended to have travel insurance for entry into Thailand. Therefore, it is advised that visitors obtain travel insurance, the details of which can be seen here.

 

How to buy travel insurance

  1. Go to our Cermati partner page.
  2. Select your insurance Package.
  3. Choose the plan and enter your details.
  4. Continue and complete the payment.
  5. Wait for a confirmation of your travel insurance via email or on the app.
  6. Download and keep a copy of your insurance policy.

 

Mandatory claim documents

  1. Completed digital claim form by Cermati Protect, which includes information such as:
    • Name of the Insured
    • Identity number/ID card number
    • Gender
    • Address
    • Date of birth
    • Mobile number
    • Email address
    • Date of loss
    • Location of the loss
    • Chronology of the loss incident
  2. Insured's passport information as registered through tiket.com
  3. Proof of flight payment (e-receipt)
  4. Proof of Insured's e-voucher from tiket.com
  5. Bank information for claim payment (bank name, account number, account holder’s name)
  6. The complete scan of the entire booked trip itinerary (flight e-ticket from tiket.com).
