What is #DiIndonesiaAja?

#DiIndonesiaAja, which means ‘only in Indonesia’, is an initiative movement from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) to provide support to Indonesian tourism industry and invite domestic tourists to travel within the country while still enforcing cleanliness protocols, especially to the 5 Super-priority Destinations.

1. Borobudur

Sustainable Tourism Village

Sustainable Tourism Village is a part of #DiIndonesiaAja initiative. The certification of Sustainable Tourism Village is given by the Ministry of Tourism and Economy Creative of the Republic of Indonesia to tourism villages in Indonesia that apply the CHSE concept, which are Cleanliness, Health, Safety, and Environment Sustainability.

 

It means the destinations and tours offered do not damage the environment and improve the local community's welfare. Moreover, Sustainable Tourism Village also has decent infrastructure to support tourism activities.

 

Sixteen tourism villages in Indonesia have been certified as Sustainable Tourism Village from the Ministry of Tourism and Economy Creative of the Republic of Indonesia. Check out some of them in the short review below, t-mates!

 

1.  Nglanggeran Village (Gunungkidul, Special Region of Yogyakarta)

Nglanggeran Tourism Village is situated in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, precisely in Patuk District, Gunungkidul Regency. One of the most well-known attractions from this village is Mount Purba Api Nglanggeran, an active volcano around 60-70 million years ago. Moreover, the village area also offers a reservoir charm covering an area of 0.34 hectares known as Embung Nglanggeran.
