These benefits can be obtained by the Insured with the following conditions:

  • Event/incident occurs during the insurance coverage period
  • Event/incident occurs during hotel staying period
  • Specifically for the Trip Cancellation by Passenger due to standard reasons and/or positive or reactive to COVID-19, the test results must be published 48 (forty-eight) hours before the check-in date and the cancellation can be processed if submitted 48 hours or less than 48 hours before check-in date.
  • Exclusively for medical expenses and hospitalization compensation due to COVID-19, the benefits and coverages will be valid for 14 (fourteen) calendar days from the hotel check-out date.

How to Apply for Insurance Claim?

After applying for Free Protection, you can see the application status of each room you booked. The status that will appear is either Accepted, Requested, or Unqualified. If your application is accepted,  then you can claim the insurance benefit by following these simple steps.

Additional Information on the Claim Submission

The following are the mandatory documents required to claim your insurance.

  1. Claim form

  2. Insured’s identity (identity card for Indonesian citizen, and Passport/KITAS/KITAP for foreign citizen)

  3. Family Registry Card (KK), if the Insured submitting a claim is under the age of 18 (eighteen) years.

  4. Hotel booking invoice from tiket.com or other online travel agent or e-commerce platform

  5. Letter of Statement issued by the hotel as proof of the customer’s name and the number of customers staying at the hotel within the coverage period. This also applies to guest(s) stated in the insurance policy.

1. What is Free Protection?

Free Protection is a personal accident insurance exclusively designed for both tiket.com users and non-tiket.com users which provides compensation to the insured in case of the following events:

  • Death permanent disability due to accident;
  • Medical expenses due to accident;
  • Trip cancellation due to standard reasons and/or positive or reactive to COVID-19;
  • Medical expenses and daily hospitalization compensation due to COVID-19 infection.
  • Free Protection is licensed and under the supervision of the Financial Services Authority (Otoritas Jasa Keuangan) registered under the product name Personal Accident Insurance.

 

2. How do I get Free Protection?

This insurance is provided free of charge by tiket.com. tiket.com users can get these products by purchasing room bookings through the website, m.tiket.com page, or the tiket.com application (iOS & Android).

 

3. Who is eligible for Free Protection?

Free Protection is eligible for Indonesian citizens (WNI) and foreigners (WNA) with a minimum age of 2 (two) years old and maximum age of 75 (seventy-five) years old on the date of check-in. Only foreigners with Passport or KITAS/KITAP (Limited/Permanent Stay Permit Card) can be insured.

 

4. How much do I have to pay for Free Protection?

Free Protection is free of charge.

 

5. Can I request to upgrade the coverage for Free Protection Product?

No. The benefits and coverages for Free Protection are fixed and cannot be upgraded.

 

6. What are the benefits of Free Protection?

Benefit details can be referred to the Free Protection table of benefits and/or Policy or Policy Wording received by email.

 

7. How can I file a claim?

Claim submission can be done through tiket.com app (Android or IOS). Go to My Order, then select "Request Claim".

 

8. Is there a timeline for filing a claim?

Insured must report and submit all documents required by Great Eastern General Insurance accurately within 7 (seven) calendar days after the incident or as soon as possible to proceed with the claim verification faster. If there are any incomplete and/or incorrect documents required for submission, the insured may complete the documents within 14 (fourteen) calendar days from the initial claim submission date. All costs incurred in obtaining such documents or evidence required shall be borne by the insured.

 

9. How much time does it take to process a claim payment?

Payment will be processed within 7 (seven) working days by tiket.com to the Insured after the claim is paid by Great Eastern General Insurance.

 

10. How do I receive a claim payment?

After the claim is approved by Great Eastern General Insurance, the claim payment will be done with the following mechanism:

  • Payments for Personal Accident Death & Disablement claim will be given by tiket.com through bank transfer to the bank account provided by the Insured with the amount as approved by Great Eastern General Insurance.
  • Payment for Medical Expenses due to Accidents or Trip Cancellation due to standard reasons, and COVID-19 protection claims, tiket.com will provide the approved amount of reimbursement by Great Eastern General Insurance in the form of tiket Points to the registered insured tiket.com user account.
