Located at Jalan Kotaraja No. 1, Gunung Sari, Tanjung Karang Station is a large type A train station located in Bandar Lampung. The station was originally opened in 1914 and was renovated in 2014 to add new toilets and prayer rooms alongside more waiting areas for passengers. Connecting Lampung with the city of Palembang, the train station serves economy, premium economy, and executive trains to either Baturaja or Palembang. To get to the station, passengers can take microbuses or a Trans Bandar Lampung or DAMRI bus with certain routes. They can also take taxis or use online ride-hailing services to arrive at the station. Inside the station, there are facilities such as a designated smoking area, parking spaces, information desks, self-service ticket machines, and an ATM center.
