Yogyakarta Station

Also known as Tugu Station to locals, Yogyakarta Station is the busiest station outside of the Jakarta metropolitan area serving both local and long distance trains across Java. It currently serves mostly executive and business class intercity trains, with the neighboring Lempuyangan Station serving economy class trains. Yogyakarta Station is also a stop for the Yogyakarta and Prameks commuter lines, alongside airport trains heading to Lin Yogyakarta International Airport.  

 

With entrances at Jl. Margo Utomo 1 and Jl. Pasar Kembang, the train station is just minutes away from Yogyakarta’s iconic shopping street, Malioboro. Many attractions, eateries, and hotels are also conveniently located close to this station. Passengers can get to and from the station via taxis, online ride-hailing services, and the Teman Bus Yogyakarta and Trans Jogja buses from the nearby Malioboro bus stop. There is a dedicated pick up and drop off point and parking for cars, bicycles, and motorcycles.

 

Passengers can purchase or print out their tickets at the counters and machines provided.
