Stayed at a uncovered site 269 very near the creek but any uncovered sites near the footbridge looked good. We must have gotten in that crystal clear water at least six times over the course of two days. The kids had a great time riding around the campground and thank you to the staff member who pulled them up for not wearing a helmet, it really takes a village. We snorkeled along the far side of the creek and saw schools of fish and a flathead so large I actually thought it was a leopard shark at first, completely monster of a thing. Walk around the headland would be amazing any day of the week but with perfect weather, kangaroo grazing, and a mass butterfly event it was all just too much. I highly recommend taking all of your toys. Kayaks, bikes, surfboogie boards, snorkeling, fishing rods, and footy. Youll use it all.. The rocks the minimum are a 2025 minute drive away and reception has very little for much higher prices. No bread on Sundays but milkicebait etc. Are there if needed. The only downside is the sites are a bit too close together for my liking but still larger than some Ive seen, hello broken head he, but it's expected in a place like this, especially during peak season. dogs are welcomed, shower

I enjoyed my holiday in this beautiful cape. The office staff is very friendly and helpful. But the manager or maintenance person is very unprofessional, anxious, and unfriendly and should not be working with the general public.

Hat Heads Vacation Park is just a camping space that can be accessed by two cabins, a shop, and some shower chambers. There are no additional lighting after dark that can illuminate your way around, as well as no recreation spaces whatsoever. The small, understaffed, somewhat pricey shop doubles as the front desk and closes around dinner time. Red sediment, rumours of bull sharks, and slurred waves surround the small, lesssafe sea or river swimming besides red sediment, bull sharks, and fierce waves. The nearby town of hat head had nothing to offer. Not even a coffee shop. In May 2022, we spent several nights there. Because it has two bedrooms, we reserved cabin 10. We had only the doubled to our elderly father. There is no option but to provide him with a metalframed kids bunk bed. For the two males remaining, one bathroom has a shower, sink, and toilet. The house is small and has adequate room, and the water flow is adequate. For the cooler evening, I had no place to put my phone, water, lip balm, or other things I needed at night. There is no bedside lamp, no bedside table, and no bedspreads. It is awful for the staff to allow three adults to reserve this subpar lodging. stayed at Hat Head Holiday Park in May for 3 nights in the uncovered sites! What a beautiful bush landscape with the beach right outside your door! We could fish and walk without even leaving our campsite! The amenities were very close to us and were immaculate with amazing hot showers! The staff were friendly and courteous and the park as a whole is very well run we would not hesitate to stay there again.
