A very comfortable hostel in the Blue Mountians area (Katoomba). The staff are very hospitable. Facilities are real up to par. WIll stay here if I ever return to this area.

Oldiesh but quiet, clean and close to the city. Grocery shops and restaurants walk within 5 minutes. I would definitely stay again.

lovely period property, great situation next to all the shops and restaurants, clean, comfy bed, lots of areas to relax, reading room. Gushing hot water and nice baths, would definitely stay again

The room was a basic single, wardrobe, bedside table and wardrobe and sink. The bed was clean, plenty of pillows, spare blanket in wardrobe if needed and 2 clean towels. Free wifi pass included. Communial bath/showers and toilets, always clean and hot water, all worked fine. there were communial quite reading area and lounge sitting room with tv. Also a communal kitchen where you could make a meal as long as wash-up/clean afterwards, also a dining table area to sit. All in all, the lodge was great, nothing fancy, its an old building but a bit of character, but it was all clean, everything functioned and was perfect for me on my own for a few nights stay. Plus its in the centre of Katoomba close to coffee shops etc. I'm now retired, travel solo, but in my working life have stayed in fancy hotels, motels, resorts etc. The Katoomba Mountain Lodge was perfect for my needs, a bed to sleep, hot showers and toilet facilities all clean. I could have got some stuff from the local supermarket and cooked in the communail kitchen, but I choose to make use of the local cafes, pizza etc. PS. traditional pizza at the Station Bar was great.

Owner was very accommodating making arrangements for me to check in after midnight even though there was no one to be there in reception at that time. I did find it a little difficult to find the place in the dark as the building is not on street level but up a steep set of stairs. Really loved the vibe of the place. Not as noisy as some backpackers in Sydney I have been to. All round, excellent value for money. Will definitely be back.

A great place to stay in katoomba on a budget, nice rooms, cooking facilties, friendly owner and quiet. Close to everything and a nice atmosphere about the lodge. Thank you for the upgraded room with a view. We will definitely be back .

Wir hatten ein gemütliches Zimmer mit Elektro-Heizung, was angesichts des Wetters sehr wichtig war. Preis-Leistung war sehr überzeugend, mit sehr zentraler Lage und privaten Parkplätzen, jederzeit wieder!
