Our studio room was very lovely and had a nicely equipped kitchen area. It was very warm while we were there so we were very happy when the air conditioning was suddenly operational part way through our 4 night stay! We did think that there should be suitcase stand in the room as we had to leave our bags on the floor. The building itself was in a great location in the Innere Stadt. Highly walkable and with easy access to public transportation. There were many restaurants and groceries stores in easy walking distance. We booked the room 5 months in advance without realizing that the building was under construction at the time. It was still under construction when we arrived and the elevator was still not working. There is no staff on site but they did offer to meet us to help us with our luggage, if we wanted. They also gave us a bottle of sparkling wine when we arrived as we booked before the building work was complete and another on my husband’s birthday! Classy touch.

DON’T BOOK THIS HOTEL. Shortly before I arrived, the hotel sent me a message that they were putting “finishing touches” to the hotel “such as the gym” and this would not affect my stay. This turned out to be untrue as the hotel was less than half finished. They were literally building it around me during my 8 day stay. The entrance hall was still a dirt floor. There was scaffolding erected at the front of the building. The fire alarms had not been commissioned. In fact, according to a legal notice in the entrance hall, the hotel owners had only just applied for a permit after I had already booked my room. My complaint to the hotel went unanswered. I have asked hotels.com if they have delisted this hotel, but they did not answer my question. Even without all the noise and inconvenience, I would not recommend this hotel. The room was small and the wardrobe was so tight that I could not close the door with my suit hanging in it. Entry is like into a prison and requires using a six digit code on three outer and inner doors. The location is central. However, no information about airport transfers was provided and it is in fact only two minutes from the airport bus stop whereas the airport train station is a 20 minute walk with luggage so much less convenient.
