My kids picked this place and it was awesome. Relatively close to downtown, not really walkable with kids, but free transit passes. It is dated (pictures are clear on that upon booking) but the water park and kids amenities made it amazing. Just 1km up the street there are some great view points and we saw lots of elk!

Wonderful stay. Definitely an older hotel but great to stay in. Only hiccup was my teenager were not impressed with having to have an 18+ to accompany them to the pool. The 16 year old is old enough to drive! They should be allowed in the pool unaccompanied by an adult.

In short, it's not a brand-new place, but it's clearly prepared with great care. It’s spacious enough for a family; the price might seem a little high, but if you fully utilize the space, it’s well worth every penny.

Liked the ability to jump on a bus to avoid driving down town. Excellent jump on and drop off spot. Hotel was convenient, quiet and clean. Highly recommend.

Nice large room with kitchen and fireplace (although we didn’t use either). Seats/loungers by the outside hot tub would have been good. The free shuttle into town really handy with a stop just outside the hotel.

I had really good experiene with Douglas Fir Resort during my stay. Property was clean and with all required equipments. Room service was provided everyday with satisfactory job done. We also got helped out by front desk for all other requirements as well. Property is also located in good environment and close to downtown so it was win-win situation for me.

Room was very nice, clean comfortable bed, great location, on local bus route and free bus passes, very nice touch. The only recommendations would be that laundry be available. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel.

We had large 2 stores until with 2 bedrooms, kitchen and sitting room and 2 bathrooms. Staff was very helpful and friendly, we got free tickets for local transit (strongly recommend to use). Aqua park is wonderful. A lot of wooden local animals on the territory and 2 real elks were greasing grass in front of our unit. I would like to suggest to wash windows and window panels, they're dirty.

Quaint, rustic, slightly outdated kitchen but was helpful to have a kitchen. Great location. LOVED the 4 free shuttle routes. It made sightseeing so easy!

My family have been coming here for over 15 years. We love where it is, often walking into town and back, beautiful. Wildlife outside the door, hot tub wonderful. Room was fab with full kitchen. Loft bedroom had its own bathroom so that was nice, I could do my makeup and hair in there haha. View was amazing. Indoor pool is refreshing in summer. Just a peaceful gorgeous place.

Indoor hot tub was great after long days of hiking. Room wasn’t over the top but had everything you need including full size fridge, oven, microwave range and toaster. Cleaning staff was excellent. Large balcony you share with other units separated by a privacy wall. Parking is convenient and make sure you get your complimentary bus pass as parking downtown is either paid or hard to come by. Buses every 20 minutes or so and only 2 stops to get downtown. About 7-10 minutes.
