Great place. Stayed here for two nights as we visited L’Anse aux Meadows.

We spent 3 nights here in Oden’s Den. We chose this property because of our interest in how a school had been repurposed. We were blown away by the size and comfort of the rooms. Some of the rooms had beautiful views from their windows of the icebergs close by. This is a great spot to be for easy access to many sight seeing trips. And the recommendation for dinner was excellent as well (we went there twice). Our host was friendly and knowledgeable. Great vibe here.

This school turned hotel is awesome! A unique and fun experience! We stayed in a family suite. The room was spacious, the kitchen fully equipped, and huge bathroom. The game room was fun for our kids (ping pong, pool table, air hockey, and more) .

Unusual place to stay. Would be a super place for a family. Lots of in house options, games room, library for free plus some optional unusual things like axe throwing for a fee. My neice was tickled to be staying in an old school.

Eric was very helpful in obtaining anything we needed to make our stay more comfortable. We did not see a kitchen area - we ate at the daily catch which is nearby

The facility is under development. Our room had no central heating but a little space heater and only hot water for a 2 minute shower.

The location was good. Place clean but beds squeaky and uncomfortable A school that has been turned into accommodations. Host very nice but the place needs a lot of work Strange smell in hallways.

The only true description of Norse Skoal on the hotels-com website was this this hotel was a former school building. The 'family suite' we had booked and which looked inviting on the website was an abandoned classroom, fitted with a fold out bed. The water coming out of the faucets was brown. There is no 'reception' at the school. We waited an hour till someone showed up in the evening, even though hotels.com wrote that our 'suite' was ready earlier in the day. A guy (the owner?) finally showed up and led us down the (school) hallway (still complete with student artwork on the walls) to our room, i.e. 'Leif's Den.' Had we not been so tired and ready for a bed to sleep in, we would have left immediately. Worst accommodations ever for the price we paid. Unless you're a group of kids looking for a summer camp adventure.
