Awesome to ride a gondola to the resort and stay in the mountains. Really nice resort.

When I heard “mountain lodge”, I assumed in the mountains. I was wrong. This lodge was ON the mountain. You take this gorgeous gondola ride (tickets included) to the top of the mountain to the hotel. We went for our anniversary and we were AMAZED with every aspect. Saying It was stunning isn’t enough. Largest outdoor hot tub in Banff was to die for, with literal views of the slopes. Plus, our view from our room, though not facing the mountain, had a full on waterfall not 20 feet from us. It was serene and gorgeous. A perfect start to our weekend. I truly wish we could have stayed longer. 100/10. Would recommend!!!!

It was a wonderful place for us to stay for a couple of days. The views were gorgeous ans breathtaking. We thoroughly enjoyed our hikes as well as outdoor spa during the day, and had a great time celebrating Canada Day. It was a memorable stay, and we would happily return in tge future.

We arrived a few days too early for the sunshine meadows trail to be open. We took a quick trip up the gondola and wow what views, but hey I can’t blame nature for taking her time. I don’t know if I’ll ever get back but if you do go for hiking go in August. The nice resto closes down for the summer as well as the spa, so I had a hot tub and small walks around. The marmot lording over the rocks on the west wing personally was my highlight. He is amazing.

How many hotels have you been to where you need to take a 20 minute aerial gondola ride to get to? If you're afraid of heights, or you arrive too late they have a shuttle van too. You're over halfway up a mountain at over 7000' (2100m), so be aware of that too. But it's a very cool experience. We were there in late June and they still had ski lifts running and lots of outdoor adventures. Watch out for the mountain goats on the road up to the parking lot/gondola station, we saw them on the way up and on the way back down.

Great location for ski in-ski out at Sunshine. We had a fantastic stay for summer skiing! The after hours shuttle to and from the base was very useful. We also loved the large hot tub and nightly S’Mores. The staff were universally friendly and helpful. Wonderful stay.

Sking in June was a blast. The setup is simple so my daughter was able to ski and explore with no fear of separation. The hot tub was hot, the bar staff friendly. I can't wait to go back when the snow finishes melting to hike through those hills.

It was super easy to check in at the bottom station. Drop off the stuff that would go to the hotel room and keep the stuff that we would need while riding that afternoon before actual check-in. Super friendly staff and amazing location.

Great staff, awesome room, can’t beat the view! We didn’t ski but the runs were well maintained and we loved all that this hotel had to offer. Temp control could have been a bit better but we figured it out with the fresh air from the window. Great in house restaurants and neat little bar. We will be back for sure! Also great shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and skin cream. Wish they’d sell it but front desk gave us a care package when we enquired about it. Awesome place!

Our group of six stayed at Sunshine Mountain Lodge for three days (three rooms), and we had a wonderful experience. The mountain views are spectacular, and the staff were friendly, welcoming, and always helpful. The lodge is a great base for exploring Banff and the surrounding area while enjoying the peace and beauty of the mountains. We highly recommend it and would definitely stay here again.

Parking isn't convenient because it is at the bottom of the hill but once you are all in, you are all in. Our rental car got hit in the parking lot and there was no note attached. We had to pay for damages. But other than that.... we loved our stay and plan on doing it again next year.
