The Cottage and Castle is absolutely charming, beautifully decorated and situated in a lovely neighborhood of colourfully painted houses and As well it is anIt’s a real gem. However as we returned after an evening out the stench in the air from a soil, composting, wastewater and recycling treatment plant was overwhelming. I there is a solution to this as Chemainus is a charming town and the Cottage and Castle was exceptional!

Didn't actually stay at the property but I did view it. Ceiling height in bedroom is very low, wouldn't recommend for anyone taller than 6'

Loved the character of this place and the host was friendly and very accommodating with my early departure. The bed was very comfortable and the AC was a relief! I will absolutely stay here again. The garden was gorgeous and added ambiance to the stay.

We loved this place so very much! I’m planning to come back with my kid. The house is gorgeous , every single detail (decoration, colours, backyard) is delightful. Christina is kind, helpful, and makes you feel at home. I’ll give this place 10 starts if I could. Thank you Christina!

Lovely spot, very comfortable and Christina, the host, was very accommodating and gave lots of information about local events and facilities. Even better if there had been a bit more choice of food items for breakfast.

Check in was quick. The grounds are nicely landscaped. The room was spacious. Sitting out on the front porch with a morning coffee was relaxing. The bed linens were soft, but the mattress needs to be replaced. It dipped into the middle and we placed pillows between us to keep comfortable.

The home was lovely, the on site manager was very nice. The reason for 2 stars, was due to a hard bed and last min discovery of a Wi Fi router right behind the bed, right by our heads. It was covered up by the closed curtain, so for 3 days we couldn't see it and didn't know it was their, till we were packing up and i pull the curtain back and their it was, inchs from my brain the whole time i slept for 3 nights, 😳. Its even in the instructions to never put these thing near a body, my head it still throbbing. Im not impressed.
