This was a perfect stop as we did the Superior Circle for my family of five. We stayed in the Chalet which was great. For the price, location, and size, this was perfect for us.

The space was clean. The bed comfortable (nice sheets) and the place did not have gay awful deodorizer smell that so many motels have. A good place to stop between Winnipeg and Ottawa

Exactly what we needed for a simple overnight stay on our travels. Some tasteful upgrades, and some thoughtful touches that you can tell have been there for years with cute little signs (like earplugs for snoring partners, mini sewing kit). Even a crib board on the side table. Owner on site was lovely, I booked through Expedia which ended up being slightly more expensive but she only charged me the lower rate. We stayed with our dog so appreciated the open green space behind the motel, including what backed into crown land with paths we could walk. We were warned about moose & bears but didn’t see any, just lots of moose droppings. Beautiful, peaceful area to walk our dog. Would certainly recommend.

Great place! Friendly and helpful staff. Dog friendly was a plus! Room was clean, and had great amenities like ear plugs and a sewing kit. I would recommend this place and I would stay there again.

Pride of hosting in all details. So clean and very well presented. Traditional motel but by far the most impressive stay. Staff extremely welcoming and caring. Real coffee machine, clean towels in abundance, seating tables and plenty of space. Comfortable beds, clean carpets and floors and pleasant decor. Area to walk your pet around is clean and safe. And super quiet, even if right on the Hwy 17. Can't ask for better, really.

This is something that you are seeing driving over Lake Superior. People buying old run down properties and working tirelessly to fix them up. It is not fancy or spectacular, but the room was very clean and pretty comfortable. The staff were extremely courteous and attentive. I would (and most likely will) stay there again!

Convenient location off of the highway. Room and bedding was comfortable. Bathroom was renovated and very clean. It is a rustic motel that we find charming and have stayed here numerous times while passing through Wawa.

Great stay at the Northern Lights Motel & Chalets. The rooms were very clean with all the extras you didn't even know you needed (corkscrew, etc). Beds were comfortable and the staff was super friendly and helpful.
