Nice hotel but with a few improvements, it could be much better. Our stay began badly with a mixedover of our room. We were two couples, and rather than getting two separate bedrooms as we had requested, we were given a room with only a partial wall between the beds. The hotel also had booked us in for 4 nights instead of 5 when our confirmation from application was clearly for 5 nights. This was frustrating because our email to the hotel several days prior asking for confirmation went unanswered. The receptionist did not speak good English and it wasnt until one of the owners arrived and suggested a compromise that we would move rooms after the first night. The room we moved to was separated by a threequarter height wall and a door with lattice above. Unfortunately, the air conditioner and ceiling fan were both in one bedroom so the other room never cooled properly. Also, because of the room configuration, we had to go into the other bedroom to access the bathroom. These were supposed to be accommodations for six people, but there were only two small cups and no glasses. The hotel grounds are beautiful with a real jungle feel, and the main pool has plenty of lounges and a swim up bar. We saw a sloth twice on the grounds and there were lots of pretty birds around. All except one night chefs night off perhaps? And it was good value. The breakfast buffet was also very good

What a fantastic resort that far exceeded my expectations in every way! We were unable to change the weather during our stay and sadly only booked one night, but it was our favorite location throughout our entire stay in Costa Rich. The heavy rain caused a few problems while we were there, like the wifi went down, the entrance was flooded, but the reception staff was always good humoured, helpful, and friendly. There was a small communication issue with one staff member and booking a taxi, which never arrived, meaning we missed a tour of the local wildlife sanctuary. It is extremely important to state exactly what you want, especially if you dont speak much spanish! However, I want to give a special thank you to Alfonso and Lilian for helping to fix the problem, arranging a tour to the sloth sanctuary and a taxi to another area in Costa Rich. The wildlife we saw while we were in the hotel was actually better than that in some of the national parks we visited! It was a pleasure to walk around the grounds early in the morning and see green and black dart frogs, outis, exotic birds, and breadflies. Unfortunately, the weather was too bad for us to use the pool wet bar, but they looked fantastic! The room was nice, the bed was comfortable and the decor was wonderful. The location is very strategic, close to restaurants and surf schools. The view here was so stunning. Then, the food here was so delicious. Subsequently, the restaurant was so good, but even then, the fact that there is only one big pool and two smaller pools. Besides that, the size was small, and the staff did not use the spa or yoga facilities.

The breakfast was amazing. The staff was always friendly and helpful. We had a private bungalow that was charming in a rustic way, nicely furnished, clean and very comfortable. The bed was comfortable. Ac helped with humidity, which was a lifesaver. We loved the freshwater pool, jacuzzi and swim-up bar. The food in the restaurant was consistently excellent and delicious. I particularly loved the Peruvian ceviche and tuna on sweet mash!
