The staff were very kind and helpful, especially Ramon. Everyone went out of their way to improve the experience. The room was large, clean, and quiet. The only challenge was a very bright blue glow from the display on the A/C unit. The pool is small (limited by property size) but nice and clean, and there are food and drink choices right there on the property, though a bit pricey. Jaco is just 300 meters away, a bit of a mixed blessing, but does offer lots of food options. Pricing was reasonable as well. I would say that the gym, which is tiny (maybe 10m square) and very hot, with just some free weights and a bench, but it does beat an in-room workout for most of us. And you can run the beach. To say they are just steps from the ocean is to understate it. If they were closer, you would be at risk at high tide. The beach is broad and wide and it was pretty clean as well, especially considering the reputation of Jaco itself. Small extras included (again) the helpful staff, the on premise bar/restaurant, a massage business right outside the door, and a safe monitored parking lot attached. I would certainly return and highly recommend the place.

The place is a rental property rather than a hotel. The host Carla was very friendly and responsive. The view was amazing. However, the property could use some serious work. There were holes on the wall, stains on the couch, splashes on the kitchen window shades, mold or stains on bathroom ceiling. The bathroom sink doesn’t work. Walls are paper thin that you can hear everything from the next door neighbor. The bedroom AC doesn’t work properly, that it doesn’t cool and was very noisy. The outdoor unit was right on the bedroom wall, With the paper-thin walls, it makes hard to sleep at night. The beds are hard, extra blankets smells terrible. The WiFi disconnects every 5 seconds. There was no shampoo provided, only a small piece of soup. The check in was confusing because the address both on Expedia and Google maps are wrong. The Google map address even has all the listing pictures. I really wish I could enjoy the place more but the place needs some serious work.

Ac was not working. Jacuzzi was not working. Faucets in the property do not work. Even the soap was watered down, showing it was cheaply maintained. This really takes from a vacation vibe. No housekeeping whatsoever. Dead bugs everywhere. Not sanitary. No housekeeping at all during stay
