This was a charming apartment in the heart of Old Town. We so enjoyed our stay.

Very nice place. The quality of the room in size, features and style was top notch. With the windows open there was never a noise problem. You hear kids go to and from school which was the loudest noise but made the atmosphere even nicer! No stairs are required to get to the building (flat part of the old town), but just outside and to get to the floor you have to go up at least 2 stories of stairs. Great food all around and a little grocery store not far away. Also, it is on the ally that take you to the nearby opening in the wall which gives you access to the water. We were able to go to daily Mass at the two churches nearby.

I hate to leave negative reviews, but this experience was so disappointing that I feel obligated to warn other travelers. The biggest issue started before we even arrived. It was never disclosed that the apartment requires climbing 3 flights of stairs with no elevator. We were also required to pick up the keys at a separate office before checking in. I had informed the property in advance that our group had several heavy suitcases and was concerned about access, but this information was completely ignored. The two women at the office were unwelcoming and unfriendly from the moment we arrived. They escorted us to the apartment without saying much and made no effort to help us with our luggage despite knowing we had multiple heavy bags. After climbing 3 flights of stairs, I expressed my frustration about the lack of disclosure regarding the stairs, and one of them sarcastically replied, "Welcome to Dubrovnik." That response set the tone for the rest of our stay. Things quickly became much worse. While we were temporarily organizing our luggage near the building entrance, an elderly resident became extremely aggressive toward my sister because she wanted to enter the building with her dog. Although my sister calmly explained that we were guests, the woman continued threatening her and became increasingly confrontational. The situation escalated to the point where we genuinely feared she might become physically violent. Other people became involved, including the woman's
