I arrived late the night before my brother's wedding because of a misunderstanding about the bus schedule from Groisy. The staff took care of me and served me a late dinner going out of their way to do so. Their performance during the wedding and hosting the wedding party and murder mystery in the dungeons was excellent.

One of the most memorable experiences I’ve ever had. Stepping into history, the staff was gracious enough to provide a private tour. Bends were very comfortable. We loved our stay! Town is so charming

This was an amazing experience. We stayed for our 28th anniversary. They made our stay very special and magical. Everything was perfect! This castle is truly something special. We didn't want to leave. The castle and everyone there were spectacular! Memories to last a lifetime !

A fairytale come true! During our vacation in France this September, my husband and I accidentally stumbled upon the beautiful Château de Thorens. The weather wasn't the best, paragliding out of the question and swimming in the Lac was nice, but a bit chilly...even for norwegians. We were looking for something else. Something exeptional. And we most definately found it! From the first glimpse of the castle though the trees by the narrow road, to the moment we had to leave, it was pure magic. A warm welcome, an utterly stunning bedroom, a lovely dinner in the evening. Thank you so much, de Sales family and the rest of the team! You have given us memories to last a lifetime! Would I recommend a night at the Château de Thorens? Yes yes yes indeed! We might have been exeptionally lucky to visit in the off-season and on a weeknight, so we had the whole castle and dinner in the evening all to ourselves, but even with more guests staying over, I imagine the tranquility and good atmosphere will be just the same! So once again..thank you so much for a wonderful experience all of you at the Château de Thorens! We will most definately be back! And thank you Annie, for giving us the most romantic dinner in France ever! We'll never forget your candle-lit île flottante!! Merci beaucup!

Beautiful castle. We had a very nice time , we have only spent one night for the experience. We have dined at the castle and it was very nice 4 course fixed meal. Highly recommended!

We (me, husband, and teenage daughter) loved every minute of our stay at this fabulous Chateau. It's like stepping back in time and staying with friends at their castle. Geoffrey and the rest of the staff was so welcoming, including the owner who is the Count. As to facilities, there's no spa or anything like that, but those places are everywhere. This is a one-of-a-kind experience in a beautiful castle surrounded by a forrest and not far from Annecy. If you go, be sure to stay for dinner in the upstairs dining room, where you'll be treated to a delicious homemade meal from the private chef. Love, love, love this place!

Do not miss this amazing place. It was my kids first introduction to Europe and we got to stay in the turret of the castle that has been in the family for 500 years. If you have the chance, say yes to Annie’s cooking with local ingredients for dinner and/or breakfast. Truly a special experience!

A nice old castle with large rooms next to a small village not for from Annecy. Surrounding mountains and nature are stunning. Parking is easy and free. The dinner I had there was just OK and a bit pricey for what it was. Otherwise a nice place to stay for one or a few nights to explore the region around.
