Perfect location for exploring Colmar. Just a short walk from the train station and the sights. The location was almost fairytale like, with its closed courtyard. We were just two persons, and had lots of space. We could even sleep in different rooms, as there is a couch in the kitchen, that turns into a bed. Mattress a bit thin though, but ok. Only thing we noticed was that the curtains probably could do with a wash. The check-in was very easy, although we arrived after "business hours". All in all, I would definitely recommend this place to others.

We loved our time here at the Effala suite. It was located right in the middle of the heart of Colmar so lots to see and do outside but there was a nice quiet courtyard inside the gate when you wanted to get away from the crowds. I picked this place for the views out the windows and that did not disappoint. We stayed there early May, so it wasn’t too hot without air conditioning, but may be a factor at other times of year. We had a very pleasant stay and would definitely stay here again. Comfortable bed, felt clean.

OMG LOVE LOVED IT!!! Right in the heart of it all! So much fun! Apt was super cute. Very clean & comfortable! No complaints! Frank was awesome! Very friendly, helpful & super informative. Altho we didn't take part, you can rent bikes & there is a bus for like 17 Euros as well that can take you to areas of the wine region. We drove to them ourselves. Each was only about 10 mins from the other & one was equally as beautiful as the next! Can't be missed. Colmar was just fantastic & even better than expected. The excellent apt only added to the experience. Oh & the views from the apt to the courtyard/roofs!! OMG! So great. Only thing I would have to say when booking when looking at the apts to be sure to select that one that you want b/c each is different & some of the fotos seem to repeat. FYI there are stairs. For us a lot of stairs...thru courtyard,to our apt & then more once we got into the apt. But it was ok. Also parking was a little bit of an issue but not terrible. There's several lots/street spots available. They are marked "Payant." We typically had to walk a block or two to the apt. Payant parking is about 2E an hour if I recall correctly? But you only pay from 9am-12pm. Then from 2-7pm. So we just went out to the wineries between 2-7. Also you can pay ahead of time to park so in the evening you can 'prepay' for the morning so it worked out OK. Lastly, little tricky at first to find, go thru arched doorway next to a restaurant-see fotos I uploaded. 2 BIG thumbs up!

Très bon accueil. L appartement est confortable et décoré avec soin. Il ne manque rien. Très propre. Très bien situé en plein centre ville, et donc des Marchés de Noël.

Krasne vkusne zariadene izby. Vhodne na romanticky pobyt. V uplnom centre historickeho centra. Okolie ponukalo uplne vsetko. Vrelo kazdemu odporucam a určitě sa vratime spet!!!

This was a beautiful place to stay in the heart of Colmar. I stayed in the Schwendi room and it looks out onto the beautiful private inner courtyard - it made for great views and also offered a private terrace with bistro tables and chairs for guests. It was also great to have the kitchenette in the room as an option for making meals. The only downfalls were that the property is VERY difficult to find, like almost impossible. I even asked locals and they had no idea. I had been given the phone number of the lady for check in and had to message her to come find me at a nearby restaurant. I feel like that should be communicated by email in advance - the entrance is basically a narrow door in between 2 shops that you hardly notice. They could take a picture of it and send it by email with directions. The other thing is, the building is made of stone and there is no soundproofing. There was a group of very noisy young girls staying across from me, and another group staying above me, and you could hear every movement and conversation. Overall though, great place for the price with some unique views of the city and rooms with lots of character.

Great location. Lovely, quiet property despite being in the hub of the old town. Quirky set up of apartments, which appealed to us and a lovely dried fruit shop at ground level. The flat had everything we needed plus a very welcome pull out couch, lots of useful information in the welcome book and a drawer full of maps, books etc. We would recommend this property.

Lovely apartment in the center of the town, but really hard to find, and the shower is toooo tiny. We still really enjoyed our stay there to the Xmas market, and would definitely stay here again when coming back to Colmar.

Excellent location, clean, comfy beds! I highly recommend this apartment. It was conveniently located in the center of town. We were mere blocks from historic buildings and Petite Venice. We could even see the stork's nest on the top of the church out of our window. The apartment was in a quaint courtyard, quiet and a hidden gem. I would recommend without any hesitation to anyone looking for more space than a traditional hotel room. We loved the half- timbered houses in Colmar. Our host was easy to contact and included a book with many travel tips. We adored the close location and felt like a resident.

It was very difficult to find. Parking was at a municipal ramp a few blocks away. I do not recommend dragging luggage up the stairs. The shades in the room kept falling off. But it was clean.

Colmar itself was a beautiful place to visit with amazingly pretty buildings everywhere. The apartment we stayed in was fine for a short stay but would begin to feel cramped if you stayed longer. The shower was good and the bed was very comfortable. The walk in from the Grand Rue through the wooden doors was at first glance dirty and derelict which was a bit off putting. But the courtyard near the apartments was attractive.

Location could not be beat. Impeccably clean. Oscillating fan in the apartment for the hot nights was very helpful. A shelf in the shower and wash cloths would have been nice. (I know, so American of me to want a wash cloth.) Communication with the property manager was easy and fast. One neighbor was loud a couple of the nights. As we had the windows open to cool the apartment we had to hear the party and the yelling children just a few feet away at our bedtime. Also, the other porches' motion lights would shine in at intervals. I can sleep through the heat and the noise and the light in my face but here was the real kicker: plastic mattress pad. They don't breathe, man. It's like wearing a diaper all night--you just lay in a puddle of your own sweat, waking up every time you roll over. Ridiculous. If you are that worried about your mattress at least put a cotton pad over the top of the plastic one. We finally took it off after two nights and I could finally sleep.

Excellent location, can't be better. Clean rooms with good amenities including cooking utensils. Host is helpful and responded quickly to our room's hot water problem and helped us move to another apartment. Will visit again.

The location is wonderful. But they charged extra 20 EUR for house keeping from my credit card. This was very surprising for me. Be careful about payment.

There are a lot of stairs to climb to get to this room, so if you have trouble, that could be a problem. The A/C didn't work well, so if you are here in the summer, it could be very uncomfortable. The location is amazing, though.

Logement parfaitement situé au coeur de Colmar et très calme. Le petit espace extérieur est egalement sympathique. Cependant , l'équipement de l'appartement n'étais pas au niveau de nos attentes. Le lit était proche d'un clic-clac, la cuisine pas très fonctionnelle. Appartement reste assez agréable pour de petits séjours.
