My partner and I stayed at Founda apartments for one week in September. We made the reservation based on all five-star reviews, none of which mentioned the busy coast road out side the property. Ive visited core numerous times in the last 50 years and enjoy the people and the caring and kind hospitality. At Founda Apartments, sadly, this was missing. We believed the owner vasillis was only interested in leasing out his cars. A car is essential for traveling because the road is extremely busy and without a foot path you risk your life on foot to the supermarket or taverns. We had a late departure and inquired about a late check-out but were told the room was booked which we understood. We then asked if there was a shower location to change since we had about 6 hours to wait. The only toilet at the pool without running water and the shower on the pool side was filthy and had a garden hose on its base. Even when it started to drizzle, we had to sit at the poolside with our cases. It was not what I had come to expect from our previous hosts and stays in core with people who have gone out of their way to help. The apartment was clean and only had a modern bathroom. I

The location of this apartment is strategic as it is near to the airport, but you can get to many attractions of the island if you want to rent a car. Basilisk the owner is extremely friendly and also speaks Hungary. He gave us a free tour. We also had a wonderful view to enjoy by the pool. Basilisk will also help you if you want to rent a car.

Founda Apartments is a gorgeous family-run business. It is conveniently close to the airport, and close to excellent beaches and eateries. All the necessary equipment is included to maintain a satisfactory stay refrigerator, hair dryer, and other items. We could unwind for a few hours in the lovely pool area before exploring some nearby historical sites. The owners go above and beyond to meet your needs, which makes this place a wonderful one.

We just got back from our second stay at Founda Apartments, and I cannot speak highly enough of it! This is the location to stay if you are staying in the core for a long period of time. Our first visit was for six nights in summer 2018 as part of an internal trip through Europe. We thoroughly enjoyed it so much we decided to return this year for two weeks to fully utilize the fantastic pool and the fantastic location to explore the island. We again used fouxias rental cars to travel around this stunning island. Vassals and his wife elisa work very hard to make sure that you have the best vacation possible. Nothing is too much difficulty and they are always close to hand if you need any advice on places to visit, eat, drink, shop etc. The pool area is very relaxing and our children and themselves enjoyed it. We really love that we werent in a big hotel environment with throngs of people fighting over the sunbed! Founda apartments offers a selfreliant friendly environment where you feel like you are a part of the real core. Thank you again for your great hospitality and hope to see you soon!

I reserved this place on very short notice, and the owner named Basilisk was very helpful. Beautiful, spotless, fully equipped apartments in a lovely setting. Everything you need for your vacation stay. Edie was there to assist you with any questions. Such a lovely place to stay. Positive and friendly staff. About 20 minutes from the city center and the city center. I would without a doubt return there.
