We arrive in Delphi after a long drive on twisty mountain roads (confession - we probably should have known Delphi was in the mountains and not on the coast). Streets are narrow and often one-way. We find the address to the Villa, knock on the door... and an old woman who speaks no English answers the door. After a few minutes of smiling and hand gestures, we realize the listed address for the Villa is wrong and the place we're looking for is across the street and a few doors down. We walk over and knock and knock and knock. No answer. We call and talk to a friend of the owner who is handling his business. Turns out there has been a mix-up. He listed the property on multiple platforms and it seems to be booked by multiple people at the same time. We are not happy. But the friend tells us he's made arrangements for us to stay at a nearby hotel. Feels kind of like a bait and switch. What's this place going to be like? Are we going to have to try to get our money back? Etc. We get to the other hotel and... it's really nice. The owner has actually rented us 2 rooms because there are 3 of use (me, wife, son) and we won't all fit in one room. Staff at the new hotel is friendly and helpful, know the owner of the Villa, and really go out of their way to make up for the mix-up. And in the end, the owner of the Villa paid for everything. Not what we expected, but the owner really took responsibility for the error and did a great job making up for it. Thanks.

I can't comment on the villa because when we got there a woman answered the door and said that she had booked it. I called Expedia and they directed us to a hotel where we were supposed to check in. This information was never told to us when we booked. When we arrived at the hotel, the owner called the owner of the villa and he ended up putting us up for the night since the villa was already occupied. The hotel was very nice so no complaints from us. It just wasted an hour of time and we got quite a bit of exercise walking up and down the mountainside.

I generally don'y like leaving negative reviews as I understand potentially peoples livelihoods are at stake. However this place is the most disgusting, dirty, unsafe place I've ever stayed in. The photos and description are totally misleading. Its filthy throughout. The kitchen area is dirty, there are roaches in the cupboards, there are crumbs in the cupboards and dust from I don't know when. Some electricals don't work, wires hanging out of the ceiling, holes in walls, floors and ceilings. disgusting smells from the laundry, the front door doesn't close properly and the list goes on and on. Staying 1 night, but this place is not suitable for rent. The tap in the kitchen is not fixed to the sink, TV wasn't working so we called for them to come and fix it. After he did he asked if there is anything else, I took him through the issues and he did not care and said it was what it was and pretended to be an employee when clearly he was the owner. I find that dreadful. This place as horrible as it is does not detract from Delphi, which is one of the most wonderful places on earth. Come to Delphi, enjoy the sites, the beautiful village atmosphere but do not stay here under any circumstance.
