We stayed in Intron luxury villas in June 2023. It was the perfect relaxing break for my husband and myself along with our daughter who had just finished GCSEs. The lovely villa is in a beautiful quiet location and thoughtfully equipped, the private pool was a wonderful luxury and the sandy beach and bay was less than 5 mins walk. The local hotel also has lovely facilities available to those staying at the villas including the private beach with parasols and sunbeams that were always available. The location of the villa was perfect for site seeing and Crete has such a lot of wonderful history to offer. A car is needed as the grocery stores were a mile or so away but had everything we needed and there were plenty of restaurants within 5-10 mins drive. The local food was fabulous. We would love to return next year as a week was not enough.

Crete is a very large island so i rented a villa and then realized it was far away from any wanted to be visited destinations, such as Heraklion was an hour away. Initially I panicked but while at the spot we readily agreed that Heraklion can be visited once, there is no attraction in staying there. Sea is very windy there, most resorts have no pools. There will be an issue with the car parking. Getting to the villas was easy, the owner sent us very easy to follow instructions, it took us a little over an hour though we travelled at night as we were taking of a ferry from Santorini. Agios Nikolaos is a very pretty laid back area with all you need for a comfortable stay. Within 5 mins by car there is a bakery with lovely Greek breads and sweets. Taverns are abundant. The nicest was the restaurant kept by the owner's family where you could order any dish you want in the morning and it will be deliciously cooked for you by dinner time. Prices are very reasonable considering quality of food, and the owner and his daughter are great cooks.They were getting fresh meat and other suppliers from a local market. Villa is lovely situated in a pretty garden. You could walk to the beach, it is few minutes down from the villa. We drove though to a very close beach, 5-10 mins by car which is phenomenally beautiful. All the nearby beaches are lagoons with no wind. Villas are nicely away from other hotels in the area.

Les villas décrites sur le site sont dans le complexes hôtel avec accès direct à la plage privée et toutes les installation de l’hôtel. Mais cela est FAUX, une grande partie des villa se trouvent en dehors du complexe à 3 ou 4 km dans un village bruyant et traversé par une grande route. Si vous n'avez pas une voiture vous n'aurez aucun accès à la plage ni a aucune infrastructure ! Vous ne le saurez qu'après avoir payer votre réservation voire comme nous lors de votre arrivée sur site... Nous étions furieux et le personnel s'en est moqué complétement...quand nous sommes aller au complexe le lendemain.... Sinon les villas sont biens --------------------------- Villas on web site are based in the hotel complex with direct access to the private beach and all installations of the hotel. But this is FALSE, much of the villa is located outside the complex in 3 or 4 km in a noisy village and crossed by an highway . If you do not have a car you will have no beach or no infrastructure access! You do not know until you pay for your booking or even like us upon arrival on-site ... We were furious and the staff is completely mocked ... when we go to the complex the next day .... Otherwise the villas are good
