We were only here one night, but this hotel was great! From our room, we had a view of the street below and the sea in the distance. Our hotel wasn't necessarily *close* to all the food/shopping or the fort, but it was within a reasonable walk that felt safe to us. The staff was friendly and helpful, providing any information we needed and helping us set up a taxi the next morning. The hotel is across the street from the bus station, making it perfect if you're traveling to/from Chania and don't want to arrange a taxi upon arrival!

This was an excellent spot to stay to catch an early morning ferry to Santorini. A bit busy and loud on the street but you don’t hear any of it inside your room even though our room was right in front facing the street. Check in and check out were a breeze and the hotel manager (Mary) went above and beyond to ensure our stay went well, with dining and transportation recommendations. Inside the unit has a very nice modern decor and was very very clean and functional. Plenty of customizable lighting. Our “partial oceanview” was laughable because what we had was a distant sighting of the water between a bunch of buildings. No biggie for us because we got all the oceanview we wanted in Chania which was so beautiful all around. I’d recommend Lavris and would stay here again for sure!

From a warm greeting, to a personalized orientation of our room, to providing guidance with restaurants and sights, Mary C was amazing! Great communication prior to trip as well. Location was perfect for us - we took KTEL bus from Chania to Heraklion; hotel was ~3 mins walk from bus station and about 10 mins down-hill walk to SeaJets fast ferry terminal. So perfect location. Incidentally, the SeaJets ferry from Heraklion was not very fast at all - took 2 hours to reach Santorini instead of the advertised 90 minutes - despite on-time departure and calm sea.

Our stay in Crete was the best part of our 2-week vacation. We stayed at LAVRIS at the end of our stay in Crete because we had an early morning ferry and wanted to be close to the Port. The staff were so friendly and kept us informed before checking in and also after checking out. The area around the Hotel is busy but once you are inside it is nice and quiet. The hotel was very walkable - after checking in we actually had to drop our rental car back off at the airport and we decided to walk back (about 4k, the staff did offer to call us a taxi from the airport, but my husband and I wanted to make the walk). Once we were back at the hotel we actually decided to continue walking around, we went to the fortress then had a lovely dinner then had a 5-minute walk back to the room. The rooms felt very safe, and the bed was very comfortable. In the morning it was about a 3-minute walk to the port. We look forward to coming back to Crete one day!

Mary greeted us on our arrival and was amazing. She had a welcome drink, explained everything to us. Took us to our room and showed us how everything worked and advised regarding complementary water and WI-Fi.

Great property close to the water. Staff was most helpful. Only complaint was the congestion of the inner city, which isn’t the fault of the property. Limited parking right in front was convenient and also available during my stay (Nov)
