On our trip, this was my favorite guest house. The units are tiny homes that have all you need beds, toilet shower, electric kettle, and a small table. The property is across the street from a fjord with a view, and it's truly stunning. There is a grocery store fairly close by, so it has everything you could want. Checking was easy and the rooms were clean and comfortable I highly recommend the castle and would stay there again!.

This place is at a beautiful location. The owner's friendly and knowledgeable. Because of the theme, I can see the northern lights out of season. The house and its services were really comfortable.

Great stop in a small village of Budardalur right on the shoreline with some breathtaking views of the shorelinecoastline A good stop here 1. From the east when doing the counterclockwise circle of iceland, as we did, before continuing on the road to explore snaefellsnes peninsulasnfellsjokull National Park 2. Or alternatively, a great stop after arriving from the southsouthwest before heading east clockwise, 3. Even if you are planning to explore the westfjords because there are no big towns in the area, you can order breakfast in advance because there are no breakfast options on the spot, but there is only one true breakfast spot in town, and that is the Dalakot Guesthouse we had a dinner there, it was a pleasant I have added a separate profile here on ta for it because everyone seems to mix their guesthouse and the restaurant. You can also check out the different photos because there is one in the main building common area, but you can see that it has a comfortable little sun room but wifi works perfectly. The shower and bathroom were all perfectly functional, as well as the small area. I visited iceland in Julyaugust. If you come from the east from the highway 1 you will end up taking route 59 which is a gravel route with many small holes and nothing on it,

We had a great time during our stay in the West Fjords and headed back. The staff was fantastic, and the cottages were clean and cozy. We were given the brunch option and it was substantial. It's great that every cottage had a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, etc. The night before, they brought it to your room. Although there are few restaurants in the town, there is one good restaurant.

The warmest hosts ever. Very accommodating and lovely facilities. Impeccable attention to detail. This is a hidden gem. We stayed in a quadruple room with a shared bathroom for a night and were nervous about sharing a bathroom, but it was very clean and we were so pleasantly surprised. There is also a hot tub so it's a perfect place off the beaten path.
