Jatiluwih is a stunning destination in bali! The rice fields are breathtaking and the whole atmosphere is very peaceful. Even though it is a unesco heritage site, you wont feel it is mass tourism. Anish homestay is only a short walk from the main tourist hut where you can get entrance tickets. Its a local homestay where you will be well taken care of, especially for solo travelers. Deni spoke good english, was a great cook who made sumptuous meals that you could order and she would get them ready for you and delivered to your room for supper. I felt very well fed and well taken care of there. Deni, her daughter, her motherinlaw, her fatherinlaw, and her neighbors were all very friendly and welcoming. You could really feel the local atmosphere and rest well at her house. The bathroom had very nice hot water which was perfect for the cold weather in jatiluwih, especially at night! Deni made fragrant red rice tea and we chat while sitting on the porch on mats eating meals and snacks. I am very impressed that deni brought me extra bakso soup to try even though i hadnt ordered it. The wifi works perfectly and the location is perfect for taking a break to rest and then exploring the rice fields on your own. I will always cherish my time there and wish them the best health and blessings.

If youre looking for a local experience, this is the best place you can find. Staying here immediately felt like being a member of denis family! A bunch of fresh fruit, some traditional rice tea, and an offer for dinner are all presented to us. We had the opportunity to get to know the entire family, and they even allowed us to assist with cooking in the kitchen. Its like scheduling a cooking class with locals who dont suffer from overtourism. Even after a long day of work, everyone was incredibly friendly and eager to answer all of our questions. And the greatest perk is that they have a cute dog and two kitties, the young one is only a few weeks old and very cuddly. Go here, you wont regret it! Thank you, deni, for a wonderful time!.

I havent been here for a while, but what a wonderful stay! Deni and her family are incredibly kind and generous. They shared everything with me, which i greatly appreciated. We went for a walk through the rice fields, where she provided us with a wealth of information about the process, which was quite fascinating. The tracks leading into the rice fields are right next to her home, and theres a fantastic waterfall within a 25minute walk. Deni is also an amazing chef! If you visit, make sure to try her very authentic restaurant, the anantaloka, which is only 8 minutes from her home! Thank you, deni, and your family!.
