We had a very relaxing stay here, the green travellodge is located on the other side of the river and right next to the jungle. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The prizes for trekking seem to be standard across the whole village of bukitlawang, 90 eur p. P. For a 2 day trek including rafting back on the river, which was really fun. We enjoyed our 2 days of jungle trekking with the guides selamat and riski. Please note that there are no atms in bukit lawang. However, the trek and all expenses associated with the hostel can be paid by card. One thing missing was free drinking water to refill our bottles to reduce plastic waste.5,0/512 Feb 2025

Amazing experience! A few days before our arrival, we got in touch with the lodge staff. They organized everything, including the transfer from the airport to the lodge. When we got to the lodge, we were given welcome drinks, and settled in our adorable bungalow by the river. At night, people from the lodge even took us to a cafe to watch football matches with the locals (our trip was during the euro cup). The next day, we woke up at 8 am, had breakfast, and then went on our trek 2 D/1 N. Again, the staff organized everything, and we only needed water and clean clothes. After climbing the hills surrounding bukit lawang, we crossed the limit of the national park. One hour later, we encountered our first orang utan! It was magical. They were not too scared of us and got pretty close because they were semiwild, and they were rescued and raised in a rehabilitation center before being released in the wild. We finally said goodbye, jumped on a raft, and went down the river with our guides. After only 1 hour, we arrived back in the town of bukit lawang, and got off right in front of the lodge. It felt like a river taxi! Many thanks to everyone who helped us get this wonderful experience!.5,0/511 Feb 2025

The staff at green travelodge were very friendly and very welcoming. Everyone was very polite and helpful. Jay did a great job organizing our entire trip. Thank you girls for the delicious breakfast and making us feel at home. The rooms and the garden are beautiful! The jungle trek with slaman, jonah and risky was very enjoyable - great! Pondok ini luar biasa, saya sangat merekomendasikannya. Staf sangat ramah dan terorganisir. Kami menerima semua informasi tentang perjalanan hutan melalui email. Hal ini diulangi sebelum keberangkatan. Pemandu berbahasa Inggris mampu mengatur tingkat kesulitan dengan sempurna sehingga kami selalu bisa mengikutinya. Pemandu mengetahui fauna dan flora dengan sempurna. Dia mengajari kami banyak hal tentang alam dan wilayah. Dia juga menjadi tuan rumah malam itu saat berkemah di hutan. Complete vip service, the entire team couldnt do enough for us, and we are so friendly, professional, and considerate that it is a once in a lifetime experience. Excellent communication from beginning to end. Adi, our driver, picked us up from the airport, and on the first night they threw me an unforgettable birthday party that will never forget. My partner had broken her ankle last year, so i was wary about hiking. The guides are so good that she couldnt have completed the trek without them. We saw many orangutans, Thomas leaf monkeys, longtail macaques, and many more. The highlight was when a mother brought her baby down to the garden at the guest house. The second day we were driven down a very rough road in a very comfortable 4x 4 driven expertly by adi to the tangkahan elephant village for a wonderful and very special experience. Possibly the nicest location weve stayed during our 7 month global trip. The hotel was very helpful with transportation. They made the best egg breakfast. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We did the 2 day trek and selamat was our guide. He had a lot of knowledge and knowledge about the jungle and knew exactly where the orangutan would be based on trees that were fruiting. I recommend having him and chandro as guides if possible as we saw 12 orangutans over 2 days. Some wild and some semiwild. The food they made us in the jungle was also amazing. They are building a new restaurant that looks like it will be great. And based on their egg breakfasts, i imagine it will be very tasty.5,0/519 Jan 2025

The guest house is wellmaintained and lively. The staff goes above and beyond for you, and we even had a visit from one of the rescue orangutans and her baby to a tree at the back of the garden. The jungle trek led by dino was exceptional, intrinsic, and wellpaced for our super fit family. The only minor drawback is the central location, which means that loud karaoke from nearby establishments can be heard until late at night, but it is all part of the experience and didnt stop us from falling asleep. Week nights are completely different, and the whole place is silent by 9 pm.5,0/56 Jan 2025

The green travelodge in bukit lawang was fantastic! The staff was all very friendly, professional, and polite. Their rooms were very comfortable, just big enough for my wife and me to settle in. Bukit Lawang is a small river village atmosphere, with a few small openair shops selling souvenirs and beautiful handpainted art and carvings. There is no atm in the village, so be sure to have enough idr for souvenir purchases or food. We stayed for a 2 day jungle trek. We hiked very steep slopes up and down many mountains, then camped by a small river with a rapid flowing waterfall. It was beautiful! The reception staff at the travelodge were very responsive over whatsapp and gave excellent instructions on how to prepare for the trek. This is a jungle adventure, so be aware there are no regular toilets, hot water, etc out in the jungle. Our guides were very knowledgeable about the jungle, they were very polite of our needs, rest at times, stop for water breaks, snacks, and lunch. They were very well prepared. I cant spell names, and i cant remember everyones names, but a few notable were the travelodge host jay and the travel guides emman, joni, jona, and salimad. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and safety conscious even after 7 hours of very demanding hiking. This isnt the easiest trek, but i believe it was the most rewarding! We saw 3 orangutans, many whitehanded gibbons, a hornbill bird, and a sumatran peacock. If i could, i would give it 6 stars. The travelodge was also able to schedule transportation to and from the airport, which is a 3-4 hour drive.5,0/59 Des 2024

What a wonderful experience. We spent four days in bukit lawang, one night at a lodge - three days / two nights in the jungle - one night. Its a tiny paradise that will bring you closer to nature. The trek is fantastic, depending on the routes chosen, nights are literally by the river, and the group is able to fit in with a simple tent. The cuisine was excellent. I couldnt close this rating by praising our guides, dino, john, and zona. Thank you for everything!.5,0/59 Des 2024
