We highly recommend the pesantian villa and warung. We stayed there for two weeks with our two kids, about one and three years old, and we thoroughly enjoyed every day in that lovely location. The villa is beautifully situated between green rice fields and a small river just outside of ubud. It has its own private pool, nice and spacious rooms, as well as, most importantly, an own restaurant attached to it. And the best part is that the owner of the place is also renowned as he cooks for his guests. All we can say is how much we loved every meal and didnt even order anything especially from the menu after two or three days we didn't order any food at all but trusted the recommendation of chef santika. Apart from that, they provided us with incredibly friendly and patient drivers for several tours around the island. Kids really loved playing with everyone on the Pesantan team and felt at home. Overall, we had i had the perfect stay at pessantan palace and Warung for 2 weeks. Thank you, chris and Julia.

The villa is decorated in a balinese style, directly across from the rice terraces. The food at the restaurant was delicious, i had bebek goreng - crispy duck. People there are very nice.

We stayed in a villa across the street and it was pouring rain for hours! We were unsuccessful in getting any food orders to come to us, but the restaurant staff here were happy to help us. They were quick on WhatsApp, their english was excellent, and the food was delivered directly to our door with stomping motorbikes, which was delicious! Many thanks!.

The best stay in ubud! We highly recommend eating and sleeping here. Take the suite room, it has a private, spacious balcony and the room is amazing. We were planning to stay only for ten nights, but we loved this place so much that we extended our stay for days. Santika, the manager, and his team make you feel at home. They are very warm and friendly, their service is excellent. Everything is very well arranged, rooms are designed with charm, very comfortable and clean. The accommodation includes swarung with highquality food (they also offer cooking classes). The area is perfect, between the rice fields and local life. A drive to the center only takes 15 minutes. Thank you, janika and team for taking care of us! I will never forget it.

I had the most wonderful stay at Pesantian in January with Santika, his wife and wonderful staff....if you’re looking for something peaceful and tranquil out of the hustle and bustle of Ubud then this is it! It’s in the middle of the rice fields, beautiful sunsets, and complete darkness and quiet at night. They have a small pool and restaurant on site that has great Balinese food! I loved everything I ate and the fresh juices and tea were the best. And then for a small fee Santika will drive you to all the sites you want to see, it’s about a 20 min ride to Ubud city where he dropped me off and I spent the day exploring. he also took me to a the Bali swing, a temple, etc. I was a solo traveler and he drove me on his motor bike everywhere, which was such a fun authentic experience! Him and his wife were so friendly and accommodating it’s an amazing place to completely disconnect and relax. If you’re looking for more activities and things to do on site this isn’t the place for you but if you want a place to unwind and relax and live more like a local, in nice accommodations this is for you!

We heartily advise anyone to stay at this lovely villa. It was by far the best experience we had in bal. The villas owner, santika, is an amazing chef who genuinely prepared some of the finest indonesian and balinese cuisine weve ever had. We ate dinner there every day and night because we adored his cuisine. Unfortunately, we didnt have enough time to take a cooking class as well, but he also offers one.

The location is a bit remote, quiet and zen, perfect place for relaxing. Only 15 minutes by scooter from ubud. Everyone is polite and sweet. Very delicious food (the owner is well educated chef). Feels like one big happy family. Two things that made our stay tastier were the rooster that was noisy all night and day (cant hear it with earplugs) and the start of fixing one of the rooms at 7-8 in the morning. But overall i would really recommend this place.

I adored this location and the people. The chef was incredibly kind and gracious in serving us his delectable vegetarian cuisine. Cleanliness is maintained throughout the rooms. Surrounded areas are captivating. A sort of retreat, in my opinion. Staff members are courteous and wellmannered. We appreciate your assistance in making our stay memorable.

Luxury rooms, a little outside the center of ubud, perfect for if you want to have solitary days! The food at the restaurant was excellent, simply the best food i have had during my 5 week stay in bali! I highly recommend taking the cooking course together with the chef of the eatery or hotel manager. His enthusiasm for cooking and explaining local culture and cuisine is nothing short of amazing to experience! There was able to rent octopus, and the pool was nice and clean.

We had a wonderful time here. Santika and his family were incredibly kind and accommodating. The room we stayed in was lovely. If you have the chance, dine at their warung because santikawa is an excellent chef! The cuisine is truly delicious. We also took shivas cooking class, which both exceeded my expectations and my thoughts. Many thanks to everyone at pesantian. I hope to return someday!.

The chef named santika is very knowledgeable about what he does and you can tell if i prefer quality over quantity. We took a cooking class which was great! We went to the market first thing in the morning where we got all the ingredients. Highly recommend this place when in bali. His dogs are also too cute!.
