Loved our bungalow with its beautiful outside bathroom. We had the seafood barbecue the first night which was delicious! Staff were very friendly and efficient

We stayed at Vayam, Gili Asaham for 8 nights in mid-April 2026 in room N.1. It was our second stay on the island, and it was very pleasant and relaxed. The room was comfortable with air conditioning and a king-size bed. Everything worked properly. The à la carte breakfast was good; I especially remember the Nasi Goreng, the typical Indonesian yogurt and fruit bowls, the sourdough bread, and that delicious cappuccino every morning. We ate at their restaurant many times, and the food was consistently good. The staff is very friendly and helpful; you never get a "no" for an answer. Overall, the value for money is unbeatable. I understand that it wasn't yet peak season, and they were preparing for it by doing some repairs. I think the bungalow would be perfect after a little maintenance, such as painting and cleaning the edges of the shower glass. I also recommend coordinating with the other hotels and local residents to keep not only the beach in front but the entire island clean of trash, a problem that, although not their fault, affects the overall impression of the island guests.

We loved our stay so much that we tried to extend a week (they were full). The triangle bungalows are spacious and romantic with lots of little details. The owner designs luxury resorts and it shows. The included breakfast was amazing, smoothie bowls, fresh juices, waffles, etc. We ate dinner there almost every evening and loved every bite. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. We got to know several of them more personally and had great conversations. There is great snorkeling nearby. You can use the resorts snorkeling gear and their kayaks/sup to get to the nearby uninhabited gili. So fantastic! I almost didn't want to write this review to keep this resort a little secret, but they deserve every accolade.

At vayam boutique resort, we had a wonderful, laidback vacation. We highly recommend the rejuvenating massage, which we received at the spa. I relished the morning selfguided yoga and stretching sessions in the yoga shala provided with mats. The fresh juices are fantastic, and the breakfast is included in the room rate. There were plenty of sun loungers right on the beach, excellent swimming right in front of the resort, an easy stroll to snorkeling spots, and we thoroughly enjoyed our excursion around the island. The staff was friendly and accommodating, willing to arrange massages, and informed about tours and activities.

I was aware that we were heading for something special the minute we stepped onto that tiny boat across the shimmering bay. Its an experience, not just a place. The resort was ready to welcome us as we made the seamless transition from the boats gentle sway to the soft white sand of the beach. Our room? Spacious, wellappointed, and had a view that made me want to wake up at the crack of dawn to see the sunrise. Lets also talk about the bathroom, which felt like a mini spa in and of itself. The spas amenities were fantastic. I was able to feel every ounce of city stress melt away after a sauna session. And that cold plunge? A true awakening call to the senses. I was really looking forward to eating at the colonial restaurant. Dining there was a pleasure, especially with the delectable, fresh food and their delicious juices. And if you ever go, dont forget to try their mojito if you visit, im still figuring out their secret. The warmth of the people was what really made vayam stand out. The staff were always smiling and smiling, and they were able to communicate with us with such warmth and care. In essence, vayam is more than just a place to stay, it is a story that i eagerly await to revisit. I would give it a heartfelt 5 stars.

I stayed in 2 triangle rooms. They are spacious, rustic and have a comfortable sitting area in front of them. Bathrooms are also very spacious. Water is salty like most island living. Breakfast at the pulau restaurant was good with lots of healthy options on the menu. Free access to water sports equipment and sauna / ice which we didnt use is a plus. The beach in front of the hotel is not a good snorkeling spot but you can walk / swim to one in just a few minutes.

Vayam is a true gem. They are conveniently located near the local town, boats, and other restaurants for some delicious food alternatives. The bungalows are incredibly cozy, always clean, and wellstocked with drinking water. I loved our outdoor shower in triangel 2. I used the ice bath almost every day, the children loved lounging in the yoga shala, and the access to SUP boards and kayaks was great. But the best part is the staff, they really care about the place and the guests. Everyone, from the greenskeeper to the boat driver to housekeeping, was always attentive and smiling. I can imagine myself returning to this peaceful island with my family i had such a wonderful experience and it was honestly sad to leave.

We have been visiting gili asahan for a few years and have seen the blossom of vayam resort since the team took over from the previous owner. The resort is truly a tropical island paradise with a variety of accommodations and beautiful landscaping. We do not stay at vayam because we are now moored off the Asahan beach, but we do use their fantastic spa facilities. We have used the sauna and ice bath every day this week i wonder why a sauna in tropical java but its amazing especially when combined with the ice bath. The spa area is welldesigned and we feel very special using it. My wife loves using connected yoga shala for her practice and i often get a massage. Both are very good. The massage rooms are wellappointed and airconditioned, perfect for relaxing! Overall, this spa is one of its kind on gili asahan, so even if you dont stay at vayam, make sure to visit. And the restaurant is the perfect place to hang out after a relaxing drink. Review on that coming soon. Im just excited about the spa! Thank you team vayam.
