Beware of elite havens and staying at villa asada in bali, indonesia. The villa itself is as advertised, has lovely views, and is far from the hustle and bustle of the city. Overall, the onsite staff provided excellent service, but it ended quite poorly when we received our grocery charges. We had been advised to provide a $400 grocery deposit, yet we were shocked to discover that the total balance was $1300 the night before we left. When we examined the bill, we discovered handwritten receipts with significant markups on basic items all from one supplier, mendira, which was supplied by the same supplier. Unfortunately, this is not the first time the grocery bill issue has occurred, as the staff has stated, they seem content with taking advantage of customers to receive their portion of payment. After speaking with the management company, elite hasn said that prices were accurate and reflect market prices, with an average meal per person of $18. At no point did the administration offer any kind of apology or take any action to address our concerns, or expect to be surprised when dining in.

My husband booked this villa without doing my usual research into every aspect of the property including reviews. If i had, if he hadnt, then ill never have booked it based on previous application reviews, but what a mistake that would have been! The villa is absolutely amazing. The staff couldnt have done better. Position perfect. Food was delicious, especially indonesian. We found the food to be reasonably priced and much better value than eating at local restaurants that are below par. Including local boutique hotels. Overall, the experience was like having your own private hotel with better service than ive ever had at 5 hotels because it was really like staying in fewer hotels here. This part of bali is quieter but has so much to do. It was the perfect family holiday for us and we hope to return.
