Absolutely wonderful place - beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean. Our bedroom was just a marvel, view right across the valley towards the burren hills, and the living room and dining room the nicest I’ve seen in any hotel, ever. Just sorry we came too late to enjoy it more. My partner was a bit bothered by the running water into the well just outside our room, with subsequent multiple bathroom-visits in the night… perhaps hard to do anything with.

We were met by Wolfgang, a very friendly, talkative chap, who showed us all around the common areas of the property and then to our room. The setting is lovely - beautiful Irish countryside - although the drive down the narrow lanes to access the property was a bit hairy. The bed was large and comfortable, the room was spacious and clean, and the shower and bathroom were adequate. It was such a peaceful place! Unfortunately, we had to leave too early to partake in breakfast.

The only thing we regret about our stay was that it wasn’t longer. The property was beautifully maintained, the service was warm yet not overbearing, the room and amenities were fantastic, the views were stunning, the fresh proper breakfast was restaurant quality, and the self-service bar and holywell water were singular traveling experiences. Thank you Maria and Wolfgang for your thoughtful generous hospitality!

Great! Lovely property, very rustic but absolutely spotless, great shower, great breakfast, and charming owners who clearly put a lot of care into what they provide. Totally worth the price, would stay again.

Wir hatten einen tollen und ruhigen Aufenthalt. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich. Das Frühstück wird frisch serviert und war sehr lecker. Die Zimmer waren sauber und wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.

How to describe The Waters... in the best possible sense, it felt like going back in time. The photos on their website are very accurate but they cannot capture the essence of the place which is cosy, quaint and like nothing we have experienced before. The views are stunning, the staff warm and welcoming. A perfect stay.

If you can let go of the need for everything to be pristine in your hotel room, you will love this quirky, shabby, out-of-the-way place! Host is lovely, bed was super comfortable, great breakfast, and just a comfy, funky place to hang out on the Burren.

Remote location, book dinner in town if you’re going to want to eat. We arrived later after a late lunch and brought crackers and cheese etc for a light dinner. Wolfgang and Maria are wonderful. Great shared spaces to have a drink from the honesty bar and meet other travellers. Breakfast was fantastic! The Burren was a real treat to see.

Amazing stay - so charmed by this country house. The ambiance is unbeatable and so interesting to look at all the decor and style of the house. Breakfast was also included and was phenomenal. The bread was so good.
