Nice rooms situated around small courtyards with fountains and fragrant vines (Jasmine?). A quiet oasis away from the busy streets of the city. Breakfast was very nice with both European and western food. Always had buffet to ourselves. The hotel was the best part of our visit to Firenze! Good restaurants close by and staff made good recommendations.

Check in was easy and whilst my flight arrived hours before check in time there was a staff member there to happily let me in and store my luggage until check in proper. My studio was very clean and spacious with quality bedding and everything one might need for a short stay. I particularly liked the little welcome package in the fridge and coffee pods, tea bags, sugar etc were replaced every day. There was also plenty of loo roll and more than enough quality towels. Soap, shampoo, conditioner and body wash was provided and there was a little sealed package of washing up liquid, sponge and cloth under the sink which was so handy. Pots, pans and crockery were adequate as was cutlery, although a sharp knife and bottle opener would be handy.. had I asked I’m sure the staff would have provided them though. Breakfast is served until 10.30am which is great if you don’t want to get up too early. It was nice.. basic self service continental with cold cuts, cheese, croissants, yoghurt etc. all good quality and fresh. There was also scrambled eggs and bacon so a decent selection. You can take it back to your room if you prefer. All in all I very much enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend Corte Guelfe. It’s in a great location, 10 minutes from the Duomo and no more than 20 mins from everything else. Very easy walking distance from the T2 tram stop from the airport. All staff are friendly, helpful & welcoming and it’s quiet despite its central location.

Hands down the best hotel stay of our 16 day trip. We were here for 3 nights. It was an apartment with a cooktop, kitchenette, dining area, sitting area, huge bedroom. It’s convienently located between attractions. 7 minute walk to the Duomo, 5 minute walk to Accademia, and 7 minute walk train. We will be coming back in about two years and will be renting Corte Guelfa. Staff was more than friendly and attentive to our needs. They recommended the best pizza we ever had that is a 2 minute walk from the hotel. So, if you stay here go to simBIOtic for your coffee, pizza, and fine dining cravings.

The highlight for me were the front desk ladies - we must have have met 4 of them and all were very nice , helpful and pleasant. They went out of their way to help input breakfast or tell us about the city . The rooms were very nice, an apartment actually with 2 bathrooms , which we were not expecting . Also the location helped us catch a tour bus as it’s close to train station otherwise we would have definitely missed it. Will definitely recommend !
